About

This mod aims to improve the Vanilla Minecraft experience, bringing you new vanilla-friendly blocks, items and changes in vanilla recipes, while also adding some new ones.

Features (highlights)

  • Stairs, slabs and walls for 90+ vanilla blocks.
  • Charcoal Block.
  • Cut Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite blocks.
    • Which allows you to craft stairs and slab variants of them, similar to Cut Copper blocks.
  • Charred Oak Wood Set.
    • It's very weak, so it breaks when interacted with/stepped on. Obtained by smelting any regular planks.
  • Stone-like blocks (Andesite, Calcite, Dripstone, Granite, Packed Mud, etc.) now have a more complete block set.
  • Rainbow Block Set.
    • Any dyeable block (Wool, Concrete, Terracotta, etc.) has an additional rainbow variant. Crafted using the new Rainbow Dye and the block of your choice.
  • Bedrock Tool Set.
    • Incredibly overpowered! Obtained by combining Ancient Debris and Obsidian between a Netherite tool inside a Smithing Table.
  • Food items.
    • Burgers, which are crafted using 6 Bread and 3 Steak, horizontally.
    • Bananas, which are currently unobtainable in Survival.

FAQ

Is the mod gonna be backported to older versions (like 1.12.2, 1.7.10)?

No.

Is the mod gonna be updated to a more recent version of Minecraft?

Yes, as soon as MCreator allows the option to do so.

    • This does not affect existing worlds where those recipes were already unlocked.
  • Changed some recipes for balancing purposes.

Recipes

  • You can now craft Creeper Heads, Piglin Heads & Dragon Heads.
  • Charcoal Slabs & Stairs are now crafted with Charcoal Blocks to match similar recipes.
    • The Charcoal Slab recipe now matches similar slab recipes.
  • Gunpowder now requires an additional Bone Meal and Flint besides Coal.
  • Charcoal can now be used to craft Gunpowder.
  • Bedrock tool/weapon recipes are no longer unlocked after getting Sticks.
  • Player Head recipes are no longer unlocked after getting Leather.
    • Player Heads are now required to unlock the other Head/Skull recipes.
  • Rainbow block recipes can now only be unlocked after getting Rainbow Dye/Blocks respectively.
  • Six sided blocks can now only be unlocked after getting a block that can be crafted into a six sided variant.
    • For example, if you obtain Grass Blocks, you'll unlock the six sided recipe of that block.
    • This should make six sided blocks more straightforward to unlock.
  • Changed the recipe of Six Sided Lodestones to require 4 Lodestones, 4 Iron Ingots & 1 Chiseled Stone Bricks.
    • Gives you 4 Six Sided Lodestones.
  • Six Sided Lodestone Slabs & Stairs are now craftable using Six Sided Lodestones.
    • You can still craft them using regular Lodestones in the Stonecutter.
  • Six Sided Lodestone Slabs & Stairs can now be crafted using Six Sixed Lodestones in the Stonecutter.
  • Six Sided Smithing Tables Slabs & Stairs can now be crafted using regular Smithing Tables in the Stonecutter.

Changes

  • Made changes to Iron Gates.
  • Changed the recipe of Name Tags to match the one that's coming in the next Minecraft drop (26.1).
  • Charred Oak Doors & Trapdoors now have the #doors/#trapdoors item tags respectively.
  • Stacking Piles of Paper now changes the hitbox accordingly.
  • Mobs can now spawn on the recently added blocks.
  • Removed some unused block models.

Blocks

  • Changed the texture of the Pale Oak Mosaic.
  • Added Charred Oak Mosaic blocks.
    • Act the same as the regular kind.
    • Stairs & slabs included.
  • Stacking Piles of Paper now changes the hitbox accordingly.
  • Mosaic Stairs & Slabs no longer block light.
  • Charred Oak Doors & Trapdoors now have the #doors/#trapdoors item tags respectively.
    • Meaning that you can now find them by using those tags in the Creative inventory.
  • Added proper textures for the Iron Gate.
  • Iron Gates can now be opened by using your hand.
    • When powered, Iron Gates will be locked.
  • Mobs can now spawn on top of Mosaic Planks, colored variants of the Caution block and the whole Dripstone Brick set.

Recipes

  • Changed the recipe of Name Tags to match the one that's coming in the next Minecraft drop.
    • You can now craft it by using paper and any metal nugget (including Diamond, Emerald and Netherite).

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug related to the Charred blocks.
  • Other small fixes.
