This is an addon for the Shape Shifter Curse mod. It introduces new mechanics, gameplay styles, and abilities for various forms, allowing you to access even more powerful forms.
When the curse completely fuses with the Moon Marrow, you are no longer a mere mortal, but an Apostle of the Moon.
You can go to GitHub to download the latest test package; I will update it on releases from time to time.
There is a Chinese tutorial and a English tutorial.The tutorials in Chinese are more detailed, so you can check them out using your browser's auto-translate feature.
🔑Evolution Tool

A cross-ring condensed from moonlight. Use it during a Cursed Moon while in your Complete Form to expand your abilities.
v6.0.0 Update — Two New Forms!
This update brings you two new evolution forms of the Anubis Wolf line: SP Anubis (Netherjudge) and Golden Sandstorm.
SP Anubis (Netherjudge)
The ultimate fusion of the Lunar Marrow Ring's curse and undead essence. You are no longer just the leader of the pack — you are the judge of souls.
- Soul Sight — low-HP enemies within 16 blocks glow and emit soul particles, with no place to hide.
- Death Sentence — bonus damage against dying targets.
- Wither Hunt — gain bonus movement speed when withered enemies are nearby.
- Domain of Death — after a charge, transform a 16-block radius into Soul Sand for 15 seconds, applying Slowness, Wither, and a max-HP reduction to enemies inside.
- Court of Spectral Wolves — howl to summon wither-infused spectral wolf minions; doubled in number while the Domain is active.
- Undead Neutrality — undead mobs no longer attack you unless provoked.
- Soul Sand Recovery — slowly regenerate while standing on Soul Sand or Soul Soil.
Golden Sandstorm
A wither-infused sandstorm variant of the Anubis Wolf, focused on Erosion Brand stacking and detonation bursts.
- Withering Sand — channel for 1s, then unleash a 15-block sandstorm, blinding enemies and applying 1 stack of Erosion Brand.
- Erosion Brand — melee attacks stack Brand (up to 3); at 3 stacks, the next hit triggers a passive burst dealing 20% of the target's current HP and healing yourself.
- Detonate Brand — actively detonate all Brand stacks for burst damage and self-recovery.
- Brand Sense — branded enemies glow yellow / orange / red based on stack count.
- Backlash Burst — taking damage automatically knocks back nearby enemies and applies Wither I.
- Wither Adaptation — fully immune to Wither, Blindness, and Sand Blind.

SSCA - v7.0.0 update
Note: This version is an emergency update. Due to modifications to the transformation system in the original SSC version, this version of the mod can only support up to version 1.9.2. Therefore, except for critical bugs, versions after this will no longer support 1.9.2 or earlier versions.
🎭 New Forms
Desmodus (Vampire Bat)
A blood-craving vampire bat variant transmuted by the power of the Moon Essence Cross.
- Mist Form: Dissolve into mist, immune to all damage except the void for ~4.5 seconds; press the skill key again after 1 second to burst, dealing damage and knockback to nearby enemies
- Sonic Burst: Release an ultrasonic wave forward, dealing physical damage and inflicting Nausea; player targets are also Deafened (cannot hear any sound), non-player targets gain Blindness
- Blood Thirst: Combat accumulates Blood Thirst — low thirst grants damage reduction, high thirst grants lifesteal, and max thirst further boosts damage and lifesteal
- Moonlit Frenzy / Sunlight Frailty: Gain attack and speed bonuses under open sky at night; suffer penalties during the day
- Echolocation: Automatically activates at night, periodically highlighting nearby creatures
- Bloodbane Iron: Takes extra damage from iron weapons
Parasitic Fruit Bat
A supportive bat variant born from the Evolution Stone.
- Parasitic Spiritfruit: Launch spiritfruit seeds at creatures — allied hosts receive healing and buff fruits, hostile hosts receive debuff fruits (Slowness, Weakness, Poison, etc.)
- Infection Spore Bomb: Throw an exploding seed that infects enemies (true damage over time, healing reduction, damage reduction) and leaves a poison fog cloud
- Seed Charge System: Exclusive energy mechanism, replenishable by eating vanilla seeds or natural regeneration
- Spirit Fruit Bloom: Passive that accelerates nearby crop growth
Familiar Fox (Red)
A story-driven variant of the SP Familiar Fox with a proper evolution path.
- Blue Fire Ring: A stronger fire ring than the SP Familiar's
- Fox Fire Breath: Reworked secondary skill, distinct from the SP Familiar
- Potion Bag System: Red's exclusive potion storage and quick-use mechanism
- Dynamic Lighting: Fox fire supports dynamic lighting (requires LambDynamicLights)
- Special feral transformation animation and story easter eggs
Mancianima
A forbidden Pillager weapon forged from a familiar vessel, with a proper evolution path.
- Mancianima Brand: Continuously aim at a creature to calibrate, leaving yellow → red brands; killing within the brand window resets the pursuit system
- Soul Leap: Consume mana for short-range teleportation, supporting "Raycast" and "Platform Lock" modes
- Bell Assault: Ring a bell in a village to trigger a Mancianima assault; clear all villagers for loot rewards (1 MC-day cooldown)
- Villager Plunder: Cannot trade with villagers, but killing them plunders items based on their trades, with a chance for extra emeralds
- Binding Anklet: Exclusive accessory that boosts damage of nearby Pillager-faction mobs

🎁 Accessory Acquisition
Several form-exclusive accessories can now be found in world chests — crafting recipes are kept, so you can still craft them or find them:
- Abandoned Mineshaft chests (20% each): Blood Garnet, Bloodlust Ring (Vampire Bat); Humus Ring, Twin Pod (Parasitic Fruit Bat)
- Desert Pyramid chests (15% each): Crystal of the Anubis Scepter (SP Anubis Wolf); Erosion Sand Prism, Withered Sand Ring (SP Golden Sandstorm)
3. 🧪 Familiar Forms — Potion Handling
- Potions can now be stacked, and a double-click merges them into one stack.
- Drag a potion onto the Potion Bag to stash it instantly.
- Reworked the Familiar forms' potion-retrieval flow, with an improved Potion Bag model, texture, and display.
⌨️ Custom Keybinds
You can now rebind each form's skill keys from ModMenu.
⚔️ Balance & Visuals
- Red Familiar's Blue Fire Ring buffed — more damage, lower mana cost, now stronger than the SP Familiar's.
- Foxfire fireball — richer particle trail and a bigger size; it now glows while flying (requires the LambDynamicLights mod).
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Red/SP Familiar amulet's water-freezing area not matching its actual range.
- Fixed the Allay form's jukebox music not following the player; also compressed the audio to reduce the mod's file size.

SSCA v7.0.0-beta.2 Update Notes
1.Added a hidden advancement "Power of the Moon Scar": unlocked after collecting all books related to the Lord of the Spirit Realm (Moon Scar: Lord of the Spirit Realm Chapters 1–8 + Epilogue, 9 books total, plus the Familiar Research Record FF-E-013). Books carry a language-independent hidden identifier, so the advancement works correctly in both Chinese and English.
2.Added the "Power of the Moon Scar" story chain: once the advancement is unlocked while in SP Familiar Fox form, you receive a one-time whisper hint; sleeping during a Cursed Moon night will then let the SP Familiar Fox truly fall asleep (using the feral sleeping animation) and transform into the RED form upon waking. While in the story RED state, you can use the Moon Essence Cross at any time to freely revert to SP Familiar Fox (without consuming the item). Fully server-authoritative and consistent across reconnect/respawn/multiplayer.
3.Finalized the evolution path of Mancianima (the Evolution Stone variant of the Familiar Fox).
4.Fixed the transformation animation for the addon's feral forms: the 7 feral forms — SP Familiar Fox, RED, SP Snow Fox, SP Anubis, Golden Sandstorm, SP Wild Cat, and Mancianima — now correctly play the "upright→feral" transformation animation instead of the previously incorrect upright animation.
5.Added a first-time tutorial for the color editor: the first time you open the Advanced Color Screen, a step-by-step highlighted guide introduces each functional area and preset management. Once viewed or skipped, it won't pop up again (remembered per save).
6.Optimized the health passive mechanics of the two bat forms (Desmodus Bat, Parasitic Fruit Bat) and added a matching accessory.
7.Further optimized the behavior and multiplayer synchronization of Fruit Bat related abilities (Infection Spore, Parasitic Absorption, Parasitic Seed Field, Parasitic Fruit).
8.Improved the Fox Fire Breath ability sound effect (SP Familiar Fox and RED forms), switching to a more expressive fox screech.
9.Reworked the damage detection of the SP Axolotl "Enhanced Water Burst" ability (now uses a spherical area-of-effect), fixing host/client inconsistency in multiplayer.
10.Improved the combat-state detection sync for Golden Sandstorm and merged it with the existing combat system.

SSCA v6.1.1 Update Notes
- Fixed the "Enable SSCA Color Editor" toggle being effectively ignored when set to OFF: the "Advanced Color" button was still being injected into the upper-right of SSC's vanilla config screen regardless of the toggle, so clicking "Adjust Appearance Color" always opened the SSCA color editor. The toggle is now properly respected; when OFF the button is no longer injected and any previously-injected leftover button is actively removed.

FormColorSelectMenu is already in use, only one instance is allowederror that occurred when reopening the color screen after SSCA had intercepted the vanillaFormColorSelectMenu: the singleton lock and temporary-texture state held by the vanilla screen are now cleaned up at the moment of interception, preventing the state leak caused byclose()never being called. - Removed the addon's hard datapack overrides of the vanilla advancements
minecraft:nether/netherite_armorandminecraft:story/shiny_gear: SSC 1.9.2 now patches the item predicates of these advancements at runtime, making the addon's overrides redundant. This improves compatibility with other mods and datapacks that also modify these vanilla advancements.

1. New SP Form: Mancianima (branched from Familiar Fox)
Three-stage Mark primary skill
- Yellow Mark: 15 mana, 32-block range mob marking, 5s first-press CD
- Red Mark upgrade: applies Fear + Wither sound, 1s trigger interval
- 2s channel for true damage: 20% of target's remaining HP as true damage, capped at 20, +15s CD
- Fizzles for 5 mana when no target is on crosshair
Teleport secondary skill
- Costs 15 mana, CD 5s
- Two modes selectable via client config:
- Raycast: straight line teleport toward crosshair, max 8 blocks, stops at blocks
- Platform: hold to preview landing spot with purple particles visible only to self, release to teleport; refused with no CD/mana cost if no platform ahead
Villager Drain
- Launches an AoE raid on villagers / wandering traders
- Targets enter a Prepare → Flee → Resolve flow lasting one full MC day
- Grants mana / XP rewards on resolution
Dedicated Mancianima mana system
- Independent max mana and regen curve
- Regen pauses for 5s on being hit or casting
- HUD resistance bar: synced yellow/red mark layers + channel progress

- Exiting the color editor with unsaved changes prompts a 3-way choice: Save & Exit / Discard & Exit / Back to Editing
4. Client-side sync chain improvements
- Continuously re-pushes the working state every tick, bypassing the SSC main-mod's tick-time color rollback and eliminating the "color snaps back to old value" flicker
- Applying a preset now also syncs to SSC's
PlayerCustomConfig, keeping ModMenu's displayed values consistent with the actual rendered palette
