Wandering Trader Revamp

(Accompanying Resource Pack is Optional but recommended)

The trades offered by Wandering Traders has been completly revamped and now have over 200 possible trade offers, including new items that are not in the Vanilla game (adjustable in settings). Wandering Traders can additionally be configured to spawn more often, glow shortly after spawning, or notify nearby players when they appear.

Trades

Wandering Traders have four thematic varients with distinct trade pools. Wandering Traders a guaranteed to offer at least 8 trades and have a chance to offer a 9th.

Jungle Trader - The Jungle Trader mostly trades items related to the Jungle, Swamp, and Lush Caves

Notable Trades (All toggleable)

  • Mini Blocks: Mini versions of blocks which can be placed as decoration
  • Explorer Maps: Show villages and other structures
  • Trident: Costs Emeralds and a Heart of the Sea
  • Cloud Wand: Places a cloud for levitating mobs and placing blocks
  • Flare Wand: Light up distant areas with a temporary light source
  • Item Magnet: Attracts items and grounded arrows to you
  • Throwable Water: Can be thrown and places water where it lands
  • Throwable TNT: Launches a primed tnt a short distance
  • Potion of Luster: Causes valuable ores to emit particles
  • Potion of Haste: Increases mining and attack speed

Config Settings

To open the settings menu, run the command /function m_trader:settings/open to open an interactive GUI.

Glowing Traders: Wandering Traders briefly glow when they appear. (Enabled by default)

Trader Notice: Wandering Traders notify nearby players when they appear. (Enabled by default)

Increased Spawnrate: Wandering Traders have an additional chance to spawn. This rate is adjustable. (Enabled and set to once every 2hr by default)

Revamped Trades: Wandering Traders offer the revamped trades instead of the Vanilla trades. (Enabled by default)

Toggle Specific Trades: Toggle any of the notable trades listed above. (All Enabled by default)

Added Conifig settings for..

  • Increased spawnrate
  • Traders glowing
  • Traders notifying nearby players
  • Traders selling Cloud Wand, Flare Wand, Item Magnet, and Throwable Water

Additions:

  • Added firefly bush trade
  • Added short dry grass trade
  • Added Mini Bamboo Block
  • Added Mini Bamboo Planks
  • Added Bamboo trade
  • Added Wild Flower, Pink Petals, and Cactus Flower trades

Changes:

  • Loot barrels can no longer drop armor trims
  • Baked Potato sell trades now costs 4 baked potatoes
  • Moved Bamboo Block trade to slot 2
  • Removed Pale Oak trades from Jungle, Mesa, and Ocean traders
  • Cactus trade yeilds 2 instead of 3
  • Reduced Blue ice cost from 5->4
  • Redued Ice yeild from 2->1
  • Cobweb Cost reduced from 3->2
