Recipes of the Lost

Recipes of the Lost is a Minecraft mod designed to unlock the crafting potential of overlooked items in the game. Have you ever wished you could craft that elusive mob drop, obscure block, or uncraftable item sitting in your inventory? With Recipes of the Lost, you'll gain access to a variety of thoughtfully balanced crafting recipes for items that previously lacked them, seamlessly integrating them into your gameplay.

This mod doesn't just fill in the gaps—it enhances your crafting experience while respecting Minecraft's natural progression. Whether you're a survivalist looking to thrive or a builder seeking easier access to rare materials, Recipes of the Lost offers a creative solution to make the uncraftable, craftable.

Notes

This is my first “mod” and I’m not just doing an easy test of my skills as a creator. I hope that anyone who downloads this mod enjoys the recipes, but please do not hesitate to ask questions, give suggestions or let me know of any problems. Have fun crafting!

Removed the following:

  • Amethyst from stonecutting (too easy to get them)
  • All plank recipes (too much clutter)
  • Chorus fruit recipe (exploit)
  • Suspicious sand and gravel (useless, they don't generate loot)
  • Custom recipes for packed mud, quartz and sandstone (doesn't match mod standards)
  • Budding amethyst silk touch (will add back when I can get it to work)

Updated the following:

  • Bundle recipe now reflects 1.21.2 version
  • Nametags recipe reflect latest snapshot (only iron nugget for now)
  • Obsidian recipe now gives 2 rather than 1
  • Slime ball recipe uses green dye instead of lime dye
  • Wither rose recipe now gives 2 rather than 1
  • New textures for malicious egg and mystical egg

Added a new config and command system!

  • New config located in your worlds serverconfig folder
  • New command to reload recipes -> /recipesofthelost reloadconfig
  • This config can be edited to basically toggle on or off the recipes from this mod

Want to turn off sea picke? Here's how

  • Use JEI, REI or EMI to look at the recipes id (shown by doing F3+H), use that id to put into the config
  • If you want to turn off the recipe for sea pickle, you will put inside the config as ["recipesofthelost:sea_pickle]
  • Reload config with new command

Let me know if there are any bugs or suggestions! <3

Enjoy for now! I will be trying to focus on 1.21.1 and maybe add recipes to mods that add newer stuff, such as Vanilla Backport or Copper Age Backport!

Enjoy for now! Fabric version is on the backburner until i can push out more updated, also trying to focus on 1.21.1 and maybe add recipes to mods that add newer stuff, such as Vanilla Backport or Copper Age Backport!

  • Added Creaking Spawn Egg recipe
  • Changed Resin Bricks recipe to result in 4 rather than 1
  • Decreased amount of Shroomlights you get for it's recipe from 6 to 4
  • Changed tags in some recipes to allow different variants of needed materials (i.e. Poppy -> any small flower)
