PMW advanced observatory

In addition to the rain gauge, this mod adds temperature, wind speed, humidity, wind radar, and current weather information. You need Protomanly Weather version 0.16.4 ~ 0.17.0 or later to use this mod.

Information In addition to the rain gauge, this mod adds temperature, wind speed, humidity, wind radar, and current weather information. You need Protomanly Weather version 0.16.4 ~ 0.17.0 or later to use this mod.

We recommend installing chunk loaders when using this mod. This will prevent the precipitation graph from jumping when you move near the render distance boundary.

New Settings in 1.4.8 radar-update Adjustment of Cumulative Rainfall

In Version 1.4.7, you can now switch the flood warning system using the lever next to the warning siren block as follows: When set to　redstone power “On,” the system uses the flood index method. When set to redstone power “Off,” the system uses the actual water level method.

Please note that in version 1.4.3 and later, the sound of rain briefly becomes louder when you log into the world. It will stabilize afterward.

Settings for “squall” and “cyclone” have been added. For cyclones, you can set the maximum width and maximum number. For squalls, you can control the forward speed, spawn range, and maximum number. Other changes, such as corrections to the snow depth graph

If you feel that the wind speeds during downpours are extreme or that the frequency of downpours is unusually high, I recommend adjusting the settings in PMW and My Addon, as they have dedicated options for this.   • Fixed an issue where the sound of rain could be heard while underground. The sound now gradually fades out in a curved pattern extending 40 blocks below ground level, with the volume dropping to 0 exactly 40 blocks below ground.
  • Added behavior that temporarily lowers the sea surface temperature in the path of a cyclone.
  • You can check this using sstmap.
  • Incidentally, Category 5 cyclones are configured so that they can theoretically reach certain areas.
  • The probability is quite low, though.
  • As a result, if a cyclone returns to the exact same location where a previous one has just passed through, its strength tends to be suppressed.
  • Cyclones wider than the width set in this add-on are removed by default.
  • Of course, this setting can be changed.
  • Fixed an issue where cyclones would not generate properly at the start of a new world, even when the conditions were met.
  • Settings unrelated to the Fujiwara Effect are currently not functional.

  • We have adjusted the frequency of rainfall gradient changes in the fall-block system.
  • We have slightly lowered the thresholds for all flood indices except lv5.
  • We have added a gradient for sea surface temperature, so the gradient now extends to some extent even at temperatures above 30°C.
  • Regarding /sstmap, we have fixed an issue where data from the previous world was carried over to the latest world.
  • We have restored the “mm/h” display in the rain and snow radar legend.

Required Protomanlys weather 0.17.0 or later

  • Added the Fujiwara effect, which complicates cyclone behavior.
  • Although cyclones may occasionally approach one another, the default settings prevent their rain clouds from overlapping, even by the narrowest margin.
  • No new cyclones will spawn within the Fujiwara effect’s range. Instead, cyclones will spawn randomly at a certain distance from one another.
  • The delay before a cyclone spawns is now random. The spawn range has expanded, and cyclones will spawn somewhere within a maximum radius of 16 km.
  • Higher sea surface temperatures do not necessarily guarantee stronger cyclones. As a result, periods of high-category cyclones will likely be temporary.
  • Cyclones now weaken more rapidly when they reach arid biomes.
  • Last-minute update. We've changed the cyclone icon to make it easier to see.

  • Added compatibility with pmwu ao.
  • The default setting is 1 hour = 50 seconds of real time, but to maintain compatibility with cumulative precipitation (mm/h) and pmwu ao especially if you haven’t changed the pmwu ao settings—please set this to 6,000.
