🇬🇧 English Description

Background & Motivation

Pipez is a highly popular logistics mod, but in late-game scenarios with massive item transfers, its original pipes can cause server lag. The "Round Robin" distribution mode, in particular, suffers from severe performance issues.

Pipez Optimizer reconstructs the transfer logic for all pipe types. It optimizes the Round Robin mode and improves the overall transfer performance across other modes. Additionally, inspired by the concepts of Ender IO: Conduit Optimizer, this mod introduces a custom extraction frequency feature. Finally, it adds new high-tier pipe upgrades, allowing for massive stat boosts even without the ultimate Infinity Upgrade.

Core Features

1. Performance Overhaul & Smart Distribution

  • Completely rewrote the underlying transfer logic. The notoriously laggy Round Robin mode now uses a mathematical splitting method to distribute items, fluids, energy, and gases instantly, eliminating the stutter caused by repetitive simulated extractions. Other distribution modes have also been improved, primarily through optimized filter checking.

2. Smart Sleep & Slot Memory

  • When a pipe fails to extract or insert (e.g., the target inventory is full), the target will temporarily enter a "sleep" state to avoid wasting server resources on useless repetitive checks.
  • Furthermore, pipes now remember the last successful inventory slot they interacted with, preventing them from scanning massive inventories from the very beginning every single time.

3. Custom Extraction Frequency

  • Adds a minimalist configuration panel to the native Pipez GUI.
  • Players can manually set the extraction interval for each independent connection, ranging from 1 Tick to 200 Ticks, allowing for flexible logistics control without causing unnecessary performance overhead.
  • Note: Server owners can toggle this custom frequency feature on or off for each specific pipe type (Item, Fluid, Energy, Gas) via the configuration file.

4. New High-Tier Upgrades

  • Introduces three new endgame upgrades: ATM Upgrade, Vibranium Upgrade, and Unobtainium Upgrade.
  • These provide extremely high transfer rates, bridging the gap and offering massive capacity boosts to meet the demands of heavy modpacks.
  • Note: The transfer rates for all three new upgrades can be fully adjusted in the configuration file.
  • Note: The Allthemodium mod is NOT strictly required to craft these upgrades. If it is not installed, alternative fallback recipes will automatically become available.

Compatibility Notice

  • Incompatible with pipezlagfix: Both mods modify the same underlying transfer logic of the Pipez mod. Installing them together will cause code conflicts and game crashes. Please ensure only one of these mods is installed.

Pipez Optimizer(Pipez优化器) 对所有类型的管道进行了底层重构,针对轮询模式进行了优化,同时改善了其他分配模式的传输性能。此外,借鉴了 Ender IO: Conduit Optimizer 的概念,本模组引入了自定义抽取频率的功能。最后,模组还增加了全新的高级管道升级,让玩家在未获得无限升级的情况下,也能让管道的传输数值得到跨越式的提升。

模组核心特性

1. 底层重构与智能分配

  • 彻底重写了管道的传输逻辑。原本极度消耗性能的“轮询”模式现在采用数学均分的方式,一次性完成物品、流体、能量和气体的分配,消除了反复模拟抽取带来的卡顿。其他分配模式的运行效率也得到了改善,这主要得益于对过滤器的优化。

2. 智能休眠与槽位记忆

  • 当管道未能成功抽取或输入(例如目标容器已满)时,目标端会进入短暂的“休眠”状态,避免无意义的重复扫描,节省服务器资源。
  • 同时,管道现在会记忆上一次成功交互的容器槽位,面对拥有成百上千个槽位的超大箱子时,无需每次都从头开始扫描。

3. 抽取频率自由定制

  • 在原版的管道操作界面中,融入了一个极简的控制面板。
  • 玩家可以为每一个管道连接面单独设置抽取间隔时间,支持在 1 Tick 到 200 Tick 之间自由调节,兼顾精细的物流控制与服务器性能。
  • 注:可以通过修改配置文件,针对不同类型的管道(物品、流体、能量、化学品)独立开启或关闭此自定义频率功能。

4. 全新高级管道升级

  • 新增了三种后期升级卡:ATM 升级振金升级难得素升级
  • 它们提供了极高的基础传输速率,填补了原版升级与无限升级之间的数值断层,满足大型整合包后期的物流需求。
  • 注:这三种新增升级的各项传输数值均可在配置文件中自由修改。
  • 注:本模组*并不强制依赖 Allthemodium(ATM)模组。如果没有安装该模组,游戏内会自动启用这些升级的备用合成配方。*

兼容性提示

  • pipezlagfix 不兼容:由于两个模组都对 Pipez 底层的核心传输逻辑进行了修改,同时安装会导致代码冲突并引发游戏崩溃。请确保只安装其中一个模组。

  • Round Robin Distribution Fix: Fixed an issue in Round Robin mode where pipes would stop transferring entirely if the extraction rate was lower than the number of connected machines. Resources are now correctly and evenly distributed to all connected inventories without causing the pipe to halt.
  • Smart Sleep Adjustment: Adjusted the pause duration when a destination machine is full. Previously, if the pipe's transfer amount was significantly larger than the destination's storage capacity, the pipe would pause for too long after filling it, causing noticeable transfer delays. The wait time has now been shortened and resets immediately upon a successful transfer, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
  • GUI Synchronization: Fixed a data synchronization issue in the pipe interface. When inserting or removing a pipe upgrade, the custom extraction frequency will now instantly update to reflect the new upgrade's default speed, without requiring the player to close and reopen the menu.
