The main mineral is Phosphophyllite, a fragile crystal, which is easily broken, but thanks to other minerals it will be possible to strengthen Phosphophyllite tools, it will also increase its resistance every time you repair Phosphophyllite tools.

Phosphophyllite Mod - Enhance Your Survival Experience

The Phosphophyllite Mod is designed to improve your survival gameplay by introducing a variety of new minerals, tools, and mechanics that bring more depth and challenge to your Minecraft adventures. This mod adds a unique resource system with new minerals that can be found in both the Overworld and the Nether, each offering their own set of benefits and crafting possibilities.

What Does the Phosphophyllite Mod Add?

At the heart of this mod is the Phosphophyllite, a fragile yet powerful crystal that you can mine and craft into tools. While Phosphophyllite tools start out weak, their durability and strength increase every time you repair them, making them a unique asset for survival. These tools, when combined with other special minerals, can be strengthened, allowing you to take on even the toughest mobs and environments.

New Minerals and Ores

  • Phosphophyllite: The core mineral of the mod, known for its delicate nature but incredible potential when enhanced with other resources.
  • Zinc and Corrupted Zinc: Found in both the Overworld and Nether, these new ores provide the player with new crafting possibilities, allowing you to forge advanced materials like Zinc Ingots and purify Corrupted Raw Zinc into valuable resources.

New Tools and Crafting Recipes

  • Phosphophyllite Axe: A unique tool made from Phosphophyllite that is fragile at first but can be enhanced for better performance. Perfect for chopping down trees and breaking through obstacles.
  • Stone Stick: A simple yet effective crafting component used to make tools and other essential items.

Advancements and Achievements

The mod comes with several custom advancements that reward you for crafting specific items, mining rare ores, and mastering the use of the new minerals. These advancements encourage players to explore and experiment with the new mechanics.

Key Mechanics

  • Tool Enhancement: The more you use and repair Phosphophyllite tools, the stronger and more durable they become. This encourages players to continue using and upgrading their gear throughout their survival journey. (Still in Development)
  • New Resource Cycle: As you mine new minerals like Zinc and Corrupted Zinc, you'll need to purify and process these materials to unlock their full potential. This adds a new layer of resource management and exploration to the game.
  • Environmental Impact: Certain minerals, like Phosphophyllite Dust, have unique effects when thrown, such as granting glowing, haste, and nausea effects. These new mechanics provide strategic advantages and risks when used in combat or exploration.

  • NeoForge support added. Phosphophyllite is now available for NeoForge on 1.20.1, with the same feature set as the Forge version.

  • Included from the Forge codebase this was ported from:

    • The Phosphophyllite Sword's held-speed bonus, which previously never activated due to an incorrect method override.
    • A fix to the Phosphophyllite ore's world generation data, which used an incomplete predicate type ID.
    • The mod icon.

  • Feature parity with Forge (these existed on Forge but were missing here):

    • Phosphophyllite Axe: 50% chance to inflict Crystallization on hit, and now drops Phosphophyllite Dust when it breaks in hand.
    • Phosphophyllite Sword: now drops Phosphophyllite Dust when it breaks.
    • Added the Crystallization enchantment (sword-only, 3 levels).
    • Added the "¿Estás orgulloso?" advancement for eating a Phosphophyllite Upgrade Smithing Template.

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed a crash when entering Singleplayer, caused by the Phosphophyllite ore's world generation data using an incomplete predicate type ID.
    • Fixed 6 edible items (Phosphophyllite, Phosphophyllite Dust, Raw Zinc, Raw Corrupted Zinc, Zinc Ingot, and the Upgrade Smithing Template) not inflicting Crystallization when eaten, and having overly punishing hunger values.
    • Fixed the Phosphophyllite Block model still referencing old placeholder textures.

    • Removed unused legacy textures and a leftover template mixin that printed debug spam to the console every tick.
