Petrol's Parts

Petrol's Parts are a collection of useful new components for Create. Most are used for transfering rotation in new ways. There are no retextured Cogwheels or "black boxes" - every kinetic component provides a new connection or feature not available in base Create, and all are satisfyingly animated.

Petrol's Parts (note: the mod is not called "Create: Petrol's Parts") include the following kinetic components:

• Shaftless Cogwheels and Coaxial Cogwheels (small and large) - up to 3 can be placed in one block, along with Shafts and Shaft Halves, and they can rotate independently
• Bevel Cogwheel - up to four can be placed in one block (along with a Shaft) to convey rotation around corners like a partial Gearbox, or they can be placed diagonally to convey connect orthogonal small Cogwheels
• Corner Shaft - take a guess
• Overload Clutch - conveys a set amount of Stress between kinetic networks, so if a subnetwork becomes overstressed the parent is unaffected
• Colossal Cogwheel - a 5x5 ring gear
• Redstone Transmission - moves Cogwheels along a shaft under Redstone control
• Hydraulic Transmission - end-game cheater part that can connect kinetics in almost any way
• Differential - rotates at the sum of its two input speeds
• Planetary Gearset - modified Large Cogwheel

It also includes these non-kinetic features:

• Brass Depot - allows filtering Filling, Pressing, Deploying, Blasting, Haunting, Smoking and Splashing recipes
• Friction Heater - converts rotation into Blaze Burner heat
• Pneumatic Tube - like the Hydraulic Transmission, but moves Items
• Redstone Programmer - essentially a MIDI editor for Redstone signals, making it easier to make music and automate with Redstone Links
• Encasing Crushing Wheels (this is a feature from the Library) which allows Crushing and Milling recipes to be filtered

All the components have Ponders explaining them. A few of them allow you to easily make connections that would be difficult in base Create, so modpack authors may wish to gate the recipes for some of Petrol's Parts. There are config options to easily disable recipes for any component.

AI Usage

AI has been used to tailor "stock" algorithms for specific isolated use cases with small straightforward specs, for example figuring out how to rotate things in renderers and the Corner Shaft auto-connection pathfinding. The core functionality of all blocks, and APIs and systems that span the whole project are carefully designed and implemented by me (a human), and AI is never used for ideas, art or descriptions.

Requests for ports to other modloaders or versions will be ignored.
