One of the core goals of this mod is giving control back to the player.

Instead of forcing a fixed AI behavior, Pathfinding Edition allows you to shape how your colony thinks and acts:

  • 💡 You can close new Farmer/Smelter/Deliveryman AI and Eat/Flee AI through config.
  • 🧭 Fine-tune pathfinding costs (roads, water, stairs, rails, etc.)
  • 📏 Adjust maximum pathfinding range and expansion behavior
  • 🧠 Modify heuristics and detour aggressiveness
  • 🍽️ Configure food systems, including:
    • General Food blacklist
    • Minimum stock per hut
    • Eating priorities and fallback logic

  • Players will now only be fed when their saturation drops below 18, and will not be fed again for approximately two minutes after a successful feeding.
  • Fine-tuned ladder navigation positioning.
  • Made targeted adjustments to ladder navigation details for 1.21.1.
  • Fixed status switching issues for some customers. Servers will now attempt to detect and remove customers with invalid statuses even after entering service mode, rather than getting stuck.
  • Improved input experience in selection menus. The value range is now "0–9999", so you can delete the default "1" and type your desired number directly. If the text box contains "0" upon confirmation, it will revert to the default value of "1".

  • Added more fallback food options for citizens: when no food meeting their quality requirements is available, citizens will search their workstation, warehouse, restaurant, or personal inventory for any edible food. However, doing so will significantly reduce food satisfaction.
    This is an experimental feature, so the release status has been lowered back to ALPHA.
  • Added toggles for extra worker slots in the Restaurant, Cookery, Stone Smeltery, Hospital, and Courier's Hut. When disabled, these buildings will revert to a maximum of 1 worker.
  • Fixed an issue where colony crops would not drop properly due to incorrect field validation, now using a new detection method
  • Fixed outdated recipe count display and button visibility states in newer vanilla versions
  • Fixed a bug where the Nether Miner AI could malfunction in higher game versions
  • Fixed a bug causing incorrect recipe counts in newer MineColonies versions
  • Fixed a visual ghosting issue that could occur when reordering recipes
  • Raised the supported MineColonies dependency version to 1285+
