Padlock adds keys, locks, and lockpicks for more protection from raiders.

Welcome to Padlock

Padlock currently only works with its own containers.
Due to a bug with the forge right click block event, it no longer supports all block entities.
Instead Padlock adds three new containers.

  • Wooden Lockbox
  • Iron Lockbox
  • Golden Lockbox which can be locked and encoded using an Obsidian Lock/Key in the Locksmith Block!

However players can still bust through them with enough
conviction!

Busted thru locks become damaged, and can not be reused.

Clicking on a locked container with a key will let you open it,
Sneak with key in hand to remove the lock!

Why use this mod?

This mod adds security on modded servers without becoming unraidable!

Why not use this mod!

A bug has been discovered with forge, where right clicking with a shield in your offhand causes the rightclick block event to not be called properly when interacting with containers!
Due to this, you can now only lock lockboxes.

Bug Fix

  • Recipes now function, broke after the blockids were changed

Additions

  • Added a recipe for lockpicks
  • Holding a broken lock in your offhand, and using a lockpick in your mainhand, you are able to decode some of that locks keys. (once per broken lock)

Complete Rework

  • A forge bug was discovered that broke the right click block event. Due to this I was forced to switch from padlocks that worked on all block entities. To creating lockboxes. The padlock system is still the same, it just no longer outside of the mods built-in storage.
