Nuit Interop

Formerly known as FabricSkyBoxes Interop

Nuit Interop adds compatibility for OptiFine/MCPatcher custom skies, allowing existing resource packs to work with Nuit, the modern multiloader successor to FabricSkyBoxes.

It converts supported OptiFine custom sky definitions to Nuit’s skybox format at runtime, making many existing sky resource packs work out of the box.

  • OptiFine/MCPatcher Custom Sky Support
    Converts supported optifine/sky resource-pack definitions into Nuit-compatible skyboxes.

  • Smart Fallback
    Skips conversion when native Nuit/FabricSkyBoxes-format skyboxes are already present.

  • Flexible Control
    Includes options for disabling native Nuit-format skyboxes when testing or preferring converted skies.

  • Legacy FabricSkyBoxes Support
    Planned support for loading legacy FabricSkyBoxes-format packs directly.

Requirements

Notes

Conversion is best-effort. Some packs may not render pixel-perfectly because OptiFine/MCPatcher and Nuit handle sky rendering differently.
