Mineforgian
A fun collection of storage based items centered around books, while maintaining the vanilla experience.
The only requirement is fabric and MidnightLib!
Current Books:
Book of Storage: Can hold 25 stacks(configurable) of a single block. Shift + Right Click to set the desired block and the book will automatically pick them up for you. Right click with book to place stored blocks. Can also blacklist blocks from the config.
Book of Fluid: Can hold 10 buckets(configurable) of a fluid. Can also place stored fluid.
Book of Saturation: Can hold 1 stack(configurable) of food. Will consume stored food for you. Cool down between eating is 10 seconds(configurable)
Book of Magnetism: A filtered item magnet. You can set its filter by Shift + Right Clicking an item on the ground. You can clear its filters by Shift + Right Clicking a Coal Block.
Empty Villager Book: Can hold 1 villager. Allows you to set the profession of the villager by Shift + Right Clicking a profession block. Use the block to trade with the villager.
Baby Villager Book: Use 2 Villager books with an empty villager book in the middle to craft a Baby Villager Book. Grows up over 20minutes into an adult book.

Library: Will hold 5 storage books. TODO: Add functionality to hopper books contents from a library.

Ported to Minecraft 1.21.1 - and Mystical Index is now multiloader: this is the first NeoForge release, alongside Fabric, built from one codebase via Architectury.
Full parity with the 1.20.1 line: the Mystical Lectern storage terminal with its network crafting grid, tiered Books of Holding, REI integration, and all bug-fix audit passes.
Requires Architectury API and MidnightLib (plus Fabric API on Fabric).

Mystical Index 2.0 — What's New Now on Minecraft 26.1.2 — fully migrated, running on both Fabric and NeoForge from one codebase, on Java 25.
🆕 The Scriptorium — a new automation block, a workbench for your books. Put effect books in its five slots and they work in the world: farming books grow and fill with produce, hostile and husbandry books generate loot, magnet books vacuum dropped items in (honoring their filters), storage and holding books absorb everything that arrives, and the XP book drinks up experience orbs. Full hopper support in and out.
🆕 Book of Experience — banks your XP levels losslessly. Deposit and withdraw levels through its screen, or flip on auto-collect and orbs flow straight into the book — even from inside a Book Sling.
🆕 Book of Transport — binds to a Library and ships a Scriptorium's contents to it automatically. Held in hand, sneak-use dumps everything matching from your pockets into your storage.
🆕 Book Sling — endgame netherite item holding five effect books that all keep working from a single inventory slot.
⚙️ Book screens everywhere — the Book of Farming is now a botany-pot planter (soil + seed + outputs, growth bar, the book visibly grows through three stages), Magnetism has a filter screen with All/Whitelist/Blacklist/Off modes, and Saturation has a food slot that feeds you with the stored food's own stats.
🏛️ Libraries are pure storage now — automation lives in the Scriptorium. The Mystical Lectern gained a capacity readout, ambient particles, and a range visualizer that draws glowing links to every connected Library.

Book Of Farming: Right click a crop to set the book. The Book will grow the crop at the configured speed. Default is every 2 minutes.
Indexing: Crafting a Hostile, Husbandry, or Farming book with a nether star one each side will Index the book. Indexing allows the book to generate resources while in the library. You can hopper a library so it's essentially a generating block you don't need to carry.

-Fixed hoppers and enabled hopper insertion support if a book can hold it. -Fixed crash related to hoppers. -Fixed library facing north all the time. -Fixed Book Of Storage not setting its stored item reliably.

Presenting Villager Books!
To get started craft an empty villager book. With this book you can pickup a villager, set the profession of the stored villager or even trade with the stored villager!
If you get two of these villagers and an empty book in a crafting grid with some bread, you can get a baby villager book! This book will grow into a an adult book overtime :slight_smile:
