Resource Pack Requirements

  • Main version has new items which require a resource pack
  • The alt version does not require a resource pack but removes several items (denoted with an astrix *)

This data pack enhances the vanilla singleplayer and multiplayer experience, tweaking features and adding new crafting recipes, items, mechanics, and more. Each feature is designed to work in tandem to subtly improve many of the core aspects of Minecraft including mining, crafting, adventuring, building, and fighting.

Features

Player Graves: Leave graves when you die which contain your items and experience. When any player interacts with the grave it will drop its contents.

Revamped Wandering Traders: Completely overhauls wandering traders. Features four trader variants (Jungle, Ocean, Mesa, and Tundra), 250+ trades, and exclusive items and makes wandering traders more common and easier to find.

Copper Boosted Rails: Placing any variant of copper blocks under rails will cause players' minecarts to move 3x as fast.

Note: Does not work on Paper servers, delete the folder 'data/multipack/functions/minecarts/' to remove

QoL Crafting: Stonecutters can cut wood, slabs can be crafted back into full blocks, raw ore blocks can be smelted, leather/iron/gold armor can be recycled into one leather/ingot, dispensers can be crafted in bulk, rails are cheaper, and more stone variants can be used in crafting.

Reworked Golden Tools: Golden tools are able to break multiple blocks at once but mine slower. Pickaxes and shovels break blocks in 3x3 area and axes cut down entire trees at once.

Speedy Paths: Players on dirt paths, polished blocks, concrete, and most brick types will move 15% faster. Placing these blocks directly beneath a path has the same effect.

Easy Infections: Villagers will be converted into zombie villagers regardless of the difficulty.

Returning Void Tridents: Tridents with the Loyalty enchantment will return when thrown in the void in any dimension.

More Soul Fire: End stone and bedrock blocks light with soul fire.

Food Tweaks: Eating a cookie gives you speed for a short time. Drinking a honey gives you regeneration for a short time and cures wither.

Trigger Commands

  • "/trigger help" to view trigger commands and features
  • "/trigger deaths" to view the death count of players in the tab list for a short time
  • "/trigger minutes" to view the minutes played of players in the tab list for a short time

New Items

Invisible Item Frames: Craft invisible item frames with phantom membranes. When placed they only become invisible when an item is inside so there's no worry of losing them.

Copper Wrenches*: Craft copper wrenches with copper ingots. Right click to rotate blocks and redstone compenents.

Throwable Water: Sold by wandering traders. Can be thrown by player or dispenser and will place water where it lands.

Item Magnet*: Sold by wandering traders. When held, attracts items and arrows on the ground to the player.

Flare Wand*: Sold by wandering traders. Right click to place a temporary light source at long range.

Cloud Wand*: Sold by wandering traders. Right click to place a cloud in front of you. Clouds levitate mobs and players and can be used to place blocks in mid-air.

Potion of Luster: Sold by wandering traders. Drink to gain the Luster effect which will highlight surrounding ores with particles visible in darkness and which can permeate through blocks.

Loot Table Tweaks

Husks: Husks can drop sand and beetroot instead of carrots and potatoes.

Cows: Cows drop less meat than pigs.

Goats: Goats drop mutton.

Cobwebs: Cobwebs drop less string.

Config

Type /function m_graves:config to open a config menu to disable/enable features and change config settings

Copper Boosted Rails

  • Copper Speed Bonus: Adjust the speed bonus of minecarts over copper blocks (defaults to +200%).

Golden Tools

  • Maximum Log Count: Chang the maximum logs broken by the axe (default to 160)
  • Leaf Decay Speed: Change the speed of leaf decay after using the axe (default to ~23x faster)

Speedy Paths

  • Path Speed Bonus: Adjust the speed bonus on paths (defaults to +15%).

Graves

  • Despawn Time Limit: The amount of time (in seconds) before graves despawn and drop their items (defaults to never). Set to -1 for graves to never despawn. Set to 0 to have items immediately drop on death without any graves.
  • Keep Some Items: Some items are not dropped on death (defaults to disabled). The list of items defaults to weapons, armor, tools, and other equipment but can be changed in multipack/tags/items/kept_items.
  • Lose Some Items: Some items are permanently lost on death (defaults to disabled). The list of items is empty by default but can be changed in multipack/tags/items/lost_items.
  • Keep Hotbar: Items in the hotbar are kept on death (defaults to disabled).
  • Keep armor: Equiped armor is kept on death (defaults to disbaled).
  • Keep Experience: Experience is kept on death (defaults to disabled).
  • Locked Graves: Graves can only be opened by their owner (defaults to disabled). Note that if this is enabled only the player who died can remove their grave so its usually recommended to set a despawn time limit if this is enabled.

Some item tags have been made for convenience for editing the kept and lost items:

  • #m_graves:equipment for weapons, armor, tools, and other equipment
  • #m_graves:mob_drops for mob drops
  • #m_graves:rare_items for items that have colored text when unenchanted (netherstars, golden apples, etc)
  • #m_graves:resources for mined resources (coal, iron, diamond, netherite, etc)

Updated to Version 1.21

  • Budding Amethysts are mined slower by pickaxes
  • Glass and glass panes are mined faster by pickaxes
  • Honey Bottles cure wither effect and provide 10 seconds of Regeneration I

Graves

  • Added config option for Death Coordinates which shows the xz coordinates and the dimension of your death to you in chat.

  • Fixed bug which caused graves to sometimes not store xp.
  • Fixed bug where graves would sink into mud, soulsand, and farmland.

Wander Traders

  • Cloud Wand, Flare Wand, Item Magent, Throwable Water, and Potion of Luster trades are more common

Invisible Item Frames

Golden Tools

Crafting

  • Made the slabs to full blocks recipes more organized in the recipe book.
  • All carpets, concrete, and concrete powder can now be dyed.
  • Dyed wool, stained glass, stained glass panes, terracotta, and candles can be redyed.
  • Wool can be dyed 8 at a time like other dyeable blocks, or alternatively 1 at a time.
  • The carpet recipe now yields 8 carpets instead of 3.
  • Carpets can be crafted back into wool blocks.
  • Green dye can be crafted with blue and yellow dye.
  • Cyan dye can be crafted with 2 blue and 1 yellow dye.
  • Lime dye can be crafted with 1 blue and 2 yellow dye.
  • Sandstone can be turned into sand in the stonecutter.
  • Red Sandstone can be cut into red sand in the stonecutter.
  • Rooted dirt can be crafted from dirt and hanging roots.
  • Lime dye is now crafted from green and yellow dye rather than from green and white dye.
  • Sandstone and Red Sandstone recipes yield 2 rather than 1.
  • Banner recipes now yield 3 rather than 1.

  • Glow Ink Sacs can be crafted into cyan dye
  • Chests boats can be crafted with planks and chests
  • Chest Minecarts can be crafted with iron ingots and a chest
  • Furnace Minecarts can be crafted with iron ingots and a furnace
  • Hopper Minecarts can be crafted with iron ingots and a hopper
  • Tnt Minecarts can be crafted with iron ingots and tnt
  • The Ladder recipe now yields 6 instead of 3
  • The Candle recipe now yields 2 instead of 1
  • The Repeater recipe now yields 2 instead of 1
  • The Comparator recipe now yields 2 instead of 1
  • Stonecutters can be crafted with deepslate
  • Levers can be crafted with a variety of stone types
  • Nether bricks can be smelted from Crimson Nylium and Warped Nylium
  • Looms are now crafting with 4 planks and 2 string (instead of 2 planks and 2 string)

Golden Tools

  • Durabilty now displays properly, golden tools have 144 durability
  • Golden Tool mining speed change is a property of the items rather than by applying mining fatigue.
  • Golden Hoe block-breaking ability was removed, it now only tills and harvests crops.
  • Golden Shovels play the correct sound effect for digging sand and snow.
