Your ultimate solution for managing server shutdowns and maintenance with style.

Maintenance Countdown is a lightweight yet powerful plugin designed for Spigot, Paper, and their forks. It provides administrators with a simple, modern way to manage server-wide countdowns before scheduled maintenance, reboots, or special events.

Commands & Permissions:

  • /maintcount
    • start <duration> <scenario> - Starts a countdown (e.g., 5m or 3m).
    • schedule <date> <time> <scenario> - Schedules a countdown for a future time.
    • pause - Pauses the active countdown.
    • resume - Resumes a paused countdown.
    • stop - Instantly stops the active countdown.
  • maintcountdown.admin: Allows access to all commands. By default, only operators have this permission.

How to Use:

  1. Place the MaintenanceCountdown.jar file into your server’s /plugins folder.
  2. Restart the server to generate the config.yml and plugin.yml files.
  3. Customize all messages and timers in config.yml to fit your server's style.
  4. Use the commands above to manage your maintenance events.

New Command Structure

Replaced the standard /maintenance command with the shorter, more convenient /maintcount, and changed its structure. Instead of separate commands like /maintenance 5minutes or /maintenance stop, you now use a single command with subcommands, making it more modern and intuitive.

Updated config.yml File

Completely reworked the configuration file. Now, all messages—including their colors and text—can be customized there. We even added two different subtitle templates to solve the previous issue with time display.

Reliable Command Logic

We fixed a critical bug with the pause and resume commands. Instead of starting a new timer, they now simply control the state of the existing one, making them reliable and predictable.

  • Commands Got Smarter: You no longer need to remember the exact command syntax! Now, when you type /maintenance, you'll see a list of available options like 5minutes, stop, and pause right away thanks to tab-completion.

  • Customization is Key: All timer messages and colors can now be easily changed in a new config.yml file. This gives you full control over how the announcements look and feel on your server.

  • Final Console Reminder: When the countdown ends, the plugin will now display a clear, formatted message directly in your server's console, reminding you to shut down the server for maintenance.
