LOTR: Middle Earth

About the project

The goal of this project is to faithfully port the famous LOTR: Legacy mod and all of its features over to Fabric and Minecraft 26.1.2. Naturally, this will take quite a while. I plan to release alpha versions of this code fairly often. The frequency is obviously subject to my personal schedule and free time. Right now I am using Claude to help with most of the coding. Although it is much easier and faster than writing the code by hand, it also tends to be less optimized. I want this to be completely open source, and if you would like to help, feel free to contact me on GitHub.

DISCLAIMER

I am only providing these really early alphas of the mod to generate awareness of my project. This mod is still very much in alpha and is currently lacking most of its core features. There are going to be bugs, so proceed with caution. If you do find a bug, please report it on GitHub. If you have features or improvements you want added, you can still open an issue on GitHub. Please note, I may not get around to them for quite a while, as currently my primary focus is to make the mod work.
