Leather Horse Armor Powdered Snow Walkability (Datapack + Multi-Loader Mod)

This datapack (and mod for NeoForge, Forge, Quilt, and Fabric) lets horses with leather armor walk on powdered snow without sinking. Normally, powdered snow is hardcoded to make all entities sink, but this project changes that for horses with leather armor. All other vanilla behavior stays the same.

For multiplayer, install it only on the server. For singleplayer or modded setups, use the mod versions.

Now available for Minecraft 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, and 1.21.9-26.1.

Detailed Explanation:

By default, entities sink into powdered snow. This project changes that for horses with leather armor, letting them walk on it.

With the datapack active, powdered snow acts like a constrained surface. You can jump onto it from solid ground or between powdered snow blocks, but walking into it directly slows you down, and jumping won’t help you escape. Always jump onto higher surfaces instead of walking in. A quirk: moving into a solid wall while inside powdered snow might push you upward. This is unintentional and not reliable outside version 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, or 1.21.9-26.1. In multiplayer, only the server needs the datapack. Horse-like mobs from other mods are not supported.

Compatibility with other versions is likely but not fully tested.
