Pots being short for Potions, of course.

This mod makes it possible for honey to grant potion effects, if bees pollinate nether wart! The resulting effect(s) are then based on the flowers they pollinate after the nether wart.

It works completely server-sided! However, you need the client in order to:

  • see the custom texture of honey potions
  • have RRV and WTHIT integration

(The mod also works completely client-sided, but it doesn't do much unless you have some other way of applying potion effects to honey)

Also adds a builtin datapack honeypots:pre_nether_potions to make blue orchids serve the role of nether wart, allowing the creation of honey potions without the nether. All potion recipes are definable and overridable by datapack!

  • no longer force instantaneous effects (saturation, instant health/harm) to be 1 tick long
    • instant health and harming still do 1 tick, but saturation now does 7.
    • WARNING for custom recipes: instant effects are now 2 minutes by default like all other effects! please specify an appropriate duration!
    • instant effects cannot have their durations modified
  • modded flower and effect recipes no longer included with the mod, moved to the modfest datapack

Fixed a bug where modded flowers with null suspicious stew effects (instead of SuspiciousStewEffects.EMPTY) crash the game when attempting to load RRV recipes

tweaked the flower effect codec to be more permissive

(now it doesn't have to be a list if there's only one effect, and you can just put an id string for effects instead of always needing to do {"id":"..."} (although that still works))

  • added blockstate-based effects
  • added a gamerule to disable infinite effects
  • shortened levitation duration (1m -> 30s)

warning: upgrading from 1.0.0 will remove the tracked flower on bees with pollen, as the mod now tracks block states rather than blocks.

additionally if you have a hive with levitation in it before upgrading, it will still be 1m long rather than the new 30s.
