gCAPS

Fashionable Hats! gCAPS is a reimplementation of the Gboard CAPS in Minecraft with the Atama Input.
Model based on the Gboard CAPS Cardboard DIY Tutorial

Supports Minecraft >= 1.20 with the Fabric/Quilt modloader.

Crafting Recipe

Crafting recipe of the Gboard CAPS. 1st row: 3 Paper. 2nd row: 1 paper, 1 redstone, 1 paper. 3rd row: empty Crafting recipe of the Chin-Strapped variant. 1st row: 1 stick, 1 Gboard CAPS, 1 stick. 2nd row 1 stick, 1 empty, 1 stick, 3rd row empty

Usage

  1. Wear the Gboard CAPS
  2. Press the Y key (Configurable in control settings)
  3. Move your head around to select characters.
  4. Left click to type, Middle click to change layout, Right click to send the message!

  • When hiding the HUD via F1, the gCAPS overlay will also hide along with it
  • When wearing gCAPS with input enabled, the selected character will be displayed at the center of the screen
  • When opening the vanilla chat with the input enabled, all typed character will be transferred to the vanilla chat
