Fungal Infection:Spore

The purpose of this mod is to increase the difficulty of the vanilla game by adding new enemies and infection mechanics inspired by popular zombie type games.

Spore

  • A Bioweapon gone wrong, this mod adds a hostile fungal infection to your peaceful Minecraft world. Face off  against bloodthirsty mutated mycelium beasts as you fight back against a dormant bioweapon reawakened at the smell of fresh blood. Reemerging from centuries of slumber, this ancient project of a bygone era is ready to retake the world. Fight tooth-and-nail against an infection built to work against mankind, and try to get your own foothold and uncover the secrets of the infection's backstory before the infection takes over.
  • Infection: As you start your world, you'll find infected humans emerge, ready to spread the infection. Their bite inflicts Mycelium Infection, and upon a suitable host falling, they will rise again, as a pawn of the infection. This... thing is a bioweapon, built to eradiate mankind, and will only infect other humans.
  • Mutation: As the horrific infecteds eat and consume more biomass, they'll begin to undergo an evolution, mutating into new stronger forms, with the sole goal of elimination... and the reconstruction of a fallen hivemind.
  • The Hivemind: The infection wishes, beyond the culling of mankind, to rebuilt their hivemind. They have improved A.I. compared to vanilla mobs, and will attempt to group up into hordes, request back-up, build a hierarchy, and even begin the reconstruction of the hivemind, an interconnected network of minds. Be prepared, for as the infection begins to take root in this peaceful Minecraft world, you might just encounter horrific constructs of fallen humans, constructed by the contorted minds of their fallen brethren.

Fixes: -The hp or the heads and wings of the Verfalldrache not being full when it initially spawns. -The Toxic Terroriser not being accepted by the incubator. -The Toxic Terroriser not having its slot model tintable. -Increase the Orbiting height of the Verfalldrache from 4 -> 8 blocks. -Reworked some inconsistencies within the sharpness and general damage of the spore melee weapons.

Fixes: -The Spooky's Gorgons legs being broken. -The Frostbite effect refreshing too often in the snow biomes. -The Serrated Thorns enchant creating stack overflows(1.21.1 bug). -The Frozen Tumors not applying the Frostbite effect(1.21.1 bug). -Hohlfressers variants not working properly. -The spore armor's toughness not being calculated properly. -The Flying path navigator not reading the mob it is attashed to (1.20.1 bug). -So many small fixes I lost count.

Changes: -Biomass texture. -Innards texture. -Infected Drowned model. -Bairn Drowned variant texture. -Biled texture. -Updated the texture of the biled overlay. -Updated the texture of the corrosion overlay. -Updated the texture of the mycelium overlay. -The Adapted Howitzer , Hindenburg and Gazenbreacher cold resistence went from lv 5 -> 6. -The Crispy variant of the Umarmer cold resistence going from lv 2 -> 3. -Proto Hivemind cold resistence going from lv 2 -> 3. -Chemist cold resistence going from lv 2 -> 3. -The PCI frostbite effect lowered to 8 seconds. -Updated the Spit and Vomit sounds. -Hyper evolved outside of the render distance will be teleported at their nests to save performance. -Experiments have their own mob cap of 15. -Experiments can now spawn within the prison structure as well. -Damage Past 10k ignores the damage caps. -The Licker can continue to shoot after its severed from the body of the Gazenbreacher.

-Inquisitor Damage lowered from 20 -> 15. -Groberfub Hp lowered from 85 -> 75.

Changes: -CDUs not spread stackable Frostbite effect instead of damaging mobs. -Frozen Tumors now apply stackable Frostbite effect on hit. -PCIs now apply Frostbite 5 for 2 mins upon injecting a mob besides the damage they deal. -Basic infected exposed to a snow biome will now receive Frostbite level 1 instead of weakness and slowness. -Infected have their evolution paused under the effect of Frostbite -Players wearing fungal armor will receive the Frostbite effect from the cdu. -Frostbite dissables the symbiosis effect the fungal armor gives the player. -All of the mechanics that used bile now use the Biled effect. -New Symbiosis effect texture. -Added secret skin for the Gorgon
