This mod transforms the Minecraft survival experience by giving the player a moisture bar, just like a fish!

Features:

A visible moisture bar that slowly depletes while on land.

When your moisture runs out, you begin to take damage.

Stay hydrated by swimming, standing in rain, or touching water.

No air bubbles HUD — mining speed and movement in water are as fast as on land.

Spawn near water on world creation and respawn without a bed.

Configurable depletion speed, damage interval, and more via the generated config file.

Great for:

Ocean survival challenges

Roleplay as a merfolk, aquatic creature, or stranded fish

Custom hardcore maps where water is your lifeline

Compatible with Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.

v1.4 – Config & Damage Fix Update

Fixed: Moisture bar damage now works reliably even when the hunger bar is full or after pausing the game.

Added: New config option dryDamageEnabled – allows players to disable land damage when the moisture bar reaches zero (for accessibility, roleplay, or testing). Default: true.

v1.3 – Realistic Fish Vision Update

Added realistic underwater vision: players now see clearly underwater, even at night, simulating real fish eyesight.

Continuous Night Vision effect while in water to prevent screen flicker.

Improved system to avoid overlapping vision logic between classes.

v1.2 – Improved Spawn Handling & Bug Fixes

Fixed: No more teleporting near water when rejoining a world — now only triggers on first join or death without a bed/respawn anchor.

Improved: Water spawn logic now avoids spawning you deep in water caves; prefers shallow, safe water near the surface.

Added: Persistent spawn tracking using world save data so movement happens only once per player per world.

Tweaked: Spawn search logic now prefers shallow water (max 3 blocks deep) with open sky above for safety.
