Fancier Block Particles

Turn boring particles into fancier particles!

Fancier Block Particles is a fork of the popular Fancy Block Particles by MorphoxL which is more optimized and less buggy than the original mod.

  • Fancier Block Particles now run 276% faster than Fancy Block Particles
  • Fancier Block Particles now load 25% faster than Fancy Block Particles
  • Fancier Block Particles now use on average 150MB less VRAM than Fancy Block Particles
  • Fancier Block Particles now use on average 6% less RAM than Fancy Block Particles
  • Fancier Block Particles now use on average 6% less CPU than Fancy Block Particles
  • Fancier Block Particles now use on average 1.5% less GPU than Fancy Block Particles

Issues From Fancy Block Particles Fixed:

  • Fancy Block Placement Ghosting (#69)
  • Multiple Potential Crashes (Not reported on Fancy Blocks Particles GitHub)

Overview

This mod replaces the Minecraft 2D particles with fancier 3D particles, it also adds a fancier block placing animation

Fancier Block Particles Version 0.7 Changelog

Showcase

  • Particles now renders 2.5 times faster (Immense thanks to Rongmario!)

Changed

  • Default key for the blacklist menu changed from none to B

Fixed

  • Fixed GUI not saving config to file

Removed

  • (Testing) Removed some checks in FBPModelHelper because I am assuming mods aren't weird
  • Removed FBPVertexUtil as it was unused

Optimization

  • Optimized main class as a result, it should be slightly faster and use slightly less RAM
  • Draw calls are now batched thanks to Rongmario which improve rendering performance by a ton
  • Thanks to a immense code cleanup the FBP as a whole should be slightly faster and use slightly less RAM
