Mod Collection ⚔️

Villagers Reborn Fantasy Factions   Survival Needs   Immersive Walk


It is intended to work alongside Villagers Reborn but it can also be played standalone without any requirements.

This mod adds new spawns and random encounters across the world, as well as skirmishes and events that can happen randomly.

All spawns, events, and skirmishes can be enabled, disabled, and configured in "Mods - Config" or in the .toml file.


Factions

New Features


  • New fantasy mobs that spawn around the world depending on the biome you're in.

  • There are village guards that protect villages.

  • There is a small chance of finding yourself in the middle of a battlefield between factions.

  • There is also an event system that you can come across during the game.

Events


If you want to manually edit the event activation values in "Mods - Config" or in "villagerpatrols.toml", here is a reference table:

1200 ticks = 1 minute

3600 ticks = 3 minutes

6000 ticks = 5 minutes

12000 ticks = 10 minutes

Right now I have it set relatively high so there are not too many events and skirmishes (maybe too high) but you can change it however you prefer (also the distance at which events and skirmishes happen).


This mod includes skins from Skindex. All rights belong to their original creators, who were contacted when possible with permissions confirmed where available. You can find the talented authors in the Skin Credits.

New Mobs, Events and Features


  • Fixed a crash that could happen with sounds from other mods

  • Added friendly wizard - custom attacks and audio (can become follower if you play with Villagers Reborn)

  • Added healer - heals you if you have low health and has regeneration I effect if you are close (can become follower if you play with Villagers Reborn)

  • Added hostile Shadow mob, can also spawn in the Nether and in the End

  • Shadow mob can also spawn mounted on flying phantoms

  • Some event villagers now spawn with vanilla trades

  • Added adventurers event that spawn with weapons and may have armor - new skins

  • Lone ice travelers may now be accompanied by a wolf companion

  • Camping villagers can now sit around the campfire and don't despawn if you break the campfire

  • Added a placed torch to the miner world event

  • Added glowing eyes and red particles to vampires

  • Removed the vampire skin from witches

  • Adjusted the dwarf model and added 4 new dwarf skins

  • Added 5 bandit skins

  • Reduced village guards to 4 guards and 1 leader

  • Event villagers no longer despawn if the player sets them to follow or stay at least once

Spawn changes


  • Rework of spawns

  • Hostile mobs are now more likely to spawn at night in swamps, dark forest, and eerie biomes - those biomes are now more hostile so be careful

  • Slightly reduced how often orcs, elves, dwarves, knights, evil knights, and bandits spawn naturally with hidden values (weights are the same)

  • Increased events and skirmishes delay and cooldown so they happen less often

  • Improved world event spawning so events are less likely to appear on roofs or in places they shouldn't

  • Events and skirmishes can't happen around you if you stay for 5 minutes in that area (50 blocks) - 8 minutes in villages

(These spawn changes are still being tested so feedback is very welcome!)

Config


  • Recommended deleting your current "villagerpatrols.toml" file so the new config changes apply correctly

New Events and Spawns


  • Added Fisher Villager event.

  • Added Shepherd Villager event.

  • Added Miner Villager event.

  • Added Wandering Bard event.

  • Added Lone Ice Traveler event.

  • Added different skins for different events.

  • Added Vampire spawns:

    • Vampires spawn at night in different biomes and caves.
    • Some vampires can become followers if Villagers Reborn is installed.
    • Vampires have custom sounds.
    • Vampires burn in sunlight.
    • Vampires will not burn in sunlight if they are wearing a hat.
    • Vampires regenerate when they deal damage.
    • Be careful: vampires are pretty strong.
    • Vampires do not have new dialogue yet.

Villagers Reborn Compatibility & Fixes


  • Fixed villagers spawning with families after the latest Villagers Reborn update.
  • Families now only appear in the Family Event if Villagers Reborn is installed.
  • Fixed mixed villager genders when playing with Villagers Reborn.
  • Fixed villagers attacking knights, dwarves, elves, and guards when Villagers Reborn is enabled.
  • Fixed the Prisoner event not starting with the proper animation when playing with Villagers Reborn.
  • Fixed spawn eggs spawning the wrong gender.
  • Fixed golems attacking dwarves and elves.
  • Fixed being unable to sleep at night when guards or knights are nearby.
  • Fixed two crashes, including crashes related to Peaceful mode.

Balance, Spawns & Audio


  • Added new weapons.
  • Adjusted event and skirmish spawn radius.
  • Adjusted spawn rates for events and skirmishes.
  • Adjusted XP drops and added loot drops for the new weapons.
  • Increased the volume of villager guards.
