Enwithered
Enwithered adds a new survival twist to Minecraft inspired by Enschrouded: certain places (like specific biomes or heights in the world) become dangerous if you stay there too long. A timer starts when you enter one of these risky areas. If you don’t leave in time, the environment “overwhelms” you — either knocking you out quickly or wearing you down bit by bit.
What it feels like in game
- You wander into a restricted biome or climb too high/low.
- A timer quietly starts. You’ll get clear warnings (HUD cues and visual effects) so you know you’re on the clock.
- Leave the area before the timer runs out to stay safe.
- Stay too long and you’ll be defeated — instantly or gradually, depending on the settings.
Why it’s fun
- Adds tension and route‑planning: dash in for loot, then get out before time’s up.
- Great for challenge worlds, speedruns, or cooperative “in‑and‑out” expeditions.
Key features
- Area limits by place: Specific biomes can be marked as risky.
- Area limits by height: Going too high or too deep can trigger the timer.
- Clear feedback: On‑screen hints and atmosphere changes help you track your remaining time.
- Two danger styles: Quick defeat (instant) or slow drain (over time).
- Customizable: Server or world owners can tweak which places are risky and how the timer behaves.
Customization (for world/server owners)
- You can configure which biomes or height ranges are restricted.
- Choose how fast the danger ramps up and whether defeat is instant or gradual.
- Adjust visuals and HUD cues to match your preferred level of urgency.

There is no real way to progress the resistance and relies on commands that quest systems can increase, therefore restricting biomes and structures should be added carefully.
In the future an upgrade system will be added - as goal for 1.0 release :D

- when entering a restricted biome a visual fog will appear with a timer and a progress bar
- added a config to add biomes with a tier like "minecraft:deepdark:1" to trigger the enwithered effect
- added a config to define a list of times by seconds for each tier
