Enhanced Movement

Enhanced Movement

Move like you're running a Sandevistan. Enhanced Movement adds fast, skill-based traversal to Minecraft — double jump, dash in any direction, ledge grab, and a glowing Edgerunners-style afterimage trail that streaks behind you every time you dash.

Built for both Fabric and NeoForge, multiplayer-aware, and fully configurable in-game.

✨ Features

⏫ Double Jump

Tap jump again in mid-air for a second boost. Comes with smart fall-damage protection — short drops from the top of your double jump cost nothing, but real falls still hurt. You get the air time without trivializing fall damage.

💨 Directional Dash

Double-tap a movement key (W / A / S / D) to dash that way — or flip on keybind mode and bind a dedicated dash key (perfect for mouse side buttons) to dash wherever you're moving. Dashing works in mid-air too, with a tuned air-dash speed so jump-dash chains feel deliberate, not infinite. Dashes carry the same fall-damage protection.

🧗 Ledge Grab

Just barely missed the jump? Hold jump near an edge and Ledge Grab gives you the nudge to stick the landing.

👻 Dash Afterimages — Sandevistan Mode

Every dash leaves a trail of glowing cyan ghosts blurring behind you — the anime time-slow look. Flip on Prism Mode for a full rainbow spectrum instead. The trail is shader-pack compatible (Iris / Oculus) and visible to nearby players, so in multiplayer everyone sees you blink across the fight.

🍗 Balanced by Hunger

Like sprinting, dashing and double-jumping draw on your food bar — so movement is a resource you manage, not a free pass.

⚙️ Fully Configurable

Tune everything in-game via Mod Menu (Fabric) or the config button on the NeoForge mods list:

  • Double jump — power (boost %) and timing window
  • Dash — cooldown, air-dash on/off, double-tap vs. dedicated keybind
  • Afterimages — count, fade duration, and Prism (rainbow) mode
  • General — option to disable all features while sneaking

Settings are stored in config/enhancedmovement.json and carry across updates.

📦 Loaders & Versions

  • Fabric — requires Fabric API (Mod Menu optional, for the config screen)
  • NeoForge — no extra dependencies

Enhanced Movement targets several Minecraft versions — check the Versions tab and grab the file that matches your Minecraft version and loader. Java requirement varies by Minecraft version (listed on each file).

💬 Why?

I like movement. I like double jumping. I like dashing. So I built the mod I wanted to play, and tried to make it feel good in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

Released under CC0-1.0 (public domain) — use it, learn from it, build on it, do whatever you want.

2.1.4+mc1.21.4Релиз1.21.4 · 4 июля 2026 г.

Fixed

  • Game no longer crashes on startup (exit code 255) when Cloth Config isn't installed. The mod used Cloth Config for its settings but never declared it as a dependency, so a player without Cloth Config crashed at load with a NoClassDefFoundError and no "missing dependency" screen to explain why. Enhanced Movement no longer depends on Cloth Config at all — see below.

Changed

  • Dropped the Cloth Config dependency; the config screen is now native. Settings are still stored at config/enhancedmovement.json with the same field names, so your existing config carries over unchanged. Fabric opens the screen via Mod Menu; NeoForge via the mods-list Config button. Cloth Config is no longer required on either loader.

Notes

  • No gameplay changes: double jump, dash, ledge grab, and afterimages behave exactly as in 2.1.3.
  • Requires Java 21. The Fabric build needs Fabric API (Mod Menu optional, for the in-game config screen).
