EffectMC is a Minecraft Forge/NeoForge and Fabric mod that adds various vanilla-themed special effects to Minecraft!
Available effects include:
- Joining a server silently with the push of a button!
- Updating your current skin
- Sending/Receiving chat messages
- Running chat commands
- And more!
This mod is designed to be the building blocks for your content, with a large focus on customizability and being flexable. To that end, there are three easy ways to trigger effects:
- An Elgato Stream Deck plugin
- A built-in web dashboard hosted locally by the mod.
- Custom HTTP requests

Disclaimer
This version was made mostly as a "I wonder if I can" thought. Don't expect an update for this Minecraft version going forward unless something is extremely broken.
Due to technical restrictions, some effects do not work the same as compared to the other versions:
- Show Toast is a modified achievement toast, so the "Achievement Get!" text will show up.
- Show Action Message uses the "Now Playing" message, so the text will be rainbow by default.
- Stop Sound only works with stopping all sounds. (Use 'all' as the sound name)
- Open Book does not work.
- Narrate does not work.
- Open Screen may crash your game. Sorry.
- Show Item Toast does not work.
- Set Volume does not support the Voice sound category.
Changes since v2.3
- Added Set Volume effect.
- Updated to support the latest version of the Stream Deck plugin. (If in the future the marketplace version stops working with this Minecraft version the Stream Deck plugin for this version may be manually downloaded on GitHub in the v3.1.0 release.)
