Escape reality in your dreamland.

Dreamlands is a horror survival adventure mod, adding 2 dimensions to traverse during sleep. Explore a dream in the Dreamland, a naturey, fairycore, cottagecore, candycore esque land adding biomes such as a Wisteria Grove to a Flower Field. Or experience a nightmare in the (eventual) Nightmoor.

As of now the mod includes 7 biomes in the dreamland dimension, accessed from sleeping in a bed while having the sleepy effect.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This mod is still in active development and is NOT a finished product. Bugs will occur, and changes are very constant. These changes can potentially cause problems in worlds over time. (i.e. a block being removed or renamed)

Please report issues over on github.

  • added aspen forest biome.
  • added aspen wood type.
  • added lupine flower.
  • added falling leaf particles for some leaves.
  • fixed tall dreamy grass patches getting replaced, leaving only a floating upper half.
  • periwinkle flowers are no longer a flowerbed block.
  • mushroom blocks now show their inner texture instead of a full block.
  • added behavior to falling asleep with the sleepy effect: the players screen will now fully fade to black, and the chat/leave bed button will disappear.
  • players can now set their dream spawn point; they will spawn there instead when entering a dream.
  • players dream data will now start being saved, right now it saves their dream bed position.
  • players who have a saved dream bed position will now stay in the dream indefinitely; unless woken up, dying, or sleeping in their bed.
  • added dye recipes from flowers.

  • fixed startup crash related to mixins.
  • fixed modified death messages while sleeping/dreaming not properly applying.
  • changed the "wake up" respawn button a translatable instead of literal. (can be changed with lang file now)
  • changed some advancement names.

  • fixed missing background for dreamland advancements.
  • fixed any effect expiring/removed while in the dreamland causing the player to be sent back to the overworld.
  • players now need the "sleepy" effect active to enter the dreamland while sleeping.
  • players will no longer drop their inventory on death when in a dream with keep inventory off.
  • optimized creating/removing/reloading/unloading a sleeping player.
  • sleeping player entities should now be a lot more stable.
  • added saved data for dreaming players. (will be used in the future)

  • added 3 new advancements for inducing a dream, entering a dream, and being woken up abruptly while dreaming.
  • the "respawn" button when dying in a dream is now replaced with "wake up".
  • the death message when dying in a dream will now have "in their dream" at the end.
  • the death message when a sleeping player dies will now have "while asleep" at the end.
  • the player will now properly return to their bed when waking up, instead of in the middle of nowhere.
  • fixed the sleeping player not removing after waking up.
