Comprehensive Custom Death Messages

Tired of seeing "Player was slain by Zombie" for the thousandth time? This data pack replaces vanilla death messages with unique, funny, and thematic messages for virtually every possible death in Minecraft!

Features

• Massive Coverage: Adds custom messages for over 80 mob types, including bosses, raid mobs, every common hostile, and even neutral mobs like goats and pufferfish!
• Specific Scenarios: Unique messages for different attack types, like the Wither's birth explosion, the Warden's sonic boom, and being knocked into the void by the Ender Dragon.
• Randomized Messages: Some common deaths, like drowning, have multiple messages that are chosen at random for variety!
• Version Support: Designed for Minecraft 1.21 but is compatible with 1.20.x versions. (See below for how to adapt it!)

Installation

1. Download the .zip file.
2. Drop the file into your world's datapacks folder.
3. Load your world and run the /reload command. You should see a confirmation message in chat!

Version Compatibility

This data pack was built for Minecraft 1.21 (pack_format: 48). To use it on older versions, simply open the .zip file, edit the pack.mcmeta file inside, and change the pack_format number to match your version:
