🧩 Cobble Capsule
Cobble Capsule expands the Cobblemon experience with a streamlined capsule progression system, a dedicated crafting workstation, and new resources that push trainers toward fresh goals. Everything is designed to feel native to Cobblemon while giving players more reasons to explore, craft, and experiment.
✨ What the Mod Brings
- Four capsule families: Combat, Resource, Healing, and Pokémon, each evolving through Basic → Rare → Epic tiers.
- Distinct particle FX for each tier and capsule category, turning every opening into a quick visual treat.
- A custom crafting station — the Core Table — to assemble capsules using cores and themed ingredients.
- Display Case block: showcase any item or block in a slow, continuous rotation — perfect for collections, base decoration, or highlighting rare Cobblemon finds. Powered by Corelite to deliver smooth animated presentation instead of a static item frame.
- New world material, Corelite: mine it, refine it, and use it to progress into higher capsule tech.
- Clear audio feedback using tuned vanilla sound cues, with fully custom sounds planned for future versions.
- Datapack-friendly loot design, letting modpacks rebalance drops or inject new rewards without modifying the mod.
- Optional mod integration: when installed, Cobblemon Mega Showdown and Cobblemon Utility automatically inject additional themed loot into capsule reward pools — whether in solo worlds or on servers.
- Built for NeoForge + Cobblemon, with recipe exposure through JEI and other utility mods.
🧪 Early Release Feedback
These first versions of Cobble Capsule are fully functional, but early development means there’s still plenty of room for fine-tuning. I need your help to shape the mod into its best form — every bit of feedback matters.

📦 Capsule System Overview
Capsules are consumables containing themed rewards. Each family focuses on a specific aspect of progression:
- Combat: battle items, power-ups, and tactical gear.
- Resource: materials, minerals, and base-building supplies.
- Healing: medicine, cures, and travel-ready support items.
- Pokémon: random partner Pokémon, with special shiny-oriented rolls.
Higher tiers increase reward quality, reduce duplicates, and unlock exclusive rolls.
Capsule Feedback
- Tier visuals: subtle sparkles → vibrant bursts → dense, energetic FX.
- Family identity: each capsule line has its own particle style.
- Sound cues: snappy timing on crafting and opening actions.
🛠 Core Table Crafting
The Core Table is your capsule assembly station. Drop in a core, add its matching ingredients, power the process with a Corelink Activator, and collect your finished capsule once the crafting pulse completes.
- Ingredient requirements follow the theme of the capsule family.
- Progress safely pauses if inputs are removed.
- Compatible with automation (hoppers, pipes, etc.).
JEI support ensures players can browse all recipes easily.
🌍 World Generation
Corelite is a new mineral line spawning in stone and deepslate layers. Mine shards, refine them into crystals and ingots, and use them for advanced crafting steps — especially capsule cores and progression items.
Corelite uses the same Y range and stone-to-deepslate transition band as diamond ore, so players will naturally find it while following their usual diamond mining routes.
- Mid-depth ore clusters for natural progression.
- Shard → Crystal → Ingot processing chain.
- Includes utility recipes such as Infused Coal.

- New capsule families (Fossil, Utility, Seasonal).
- Configurable crafting speeds and potential upgrades.
- Deeper Cobblemon integration (NPC vendors, quest hooks).

📜 Cobble Capsule 1.4 – Core Table Hotfix
This update is a focused hotfix restoring the Core Table usability after a regression introduced in 1.3.
🩹 Fix
- Fixed the Core Table being unusable by restoring the client-side screen registration, allowing the GUI to open correctly again in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Note: Fully compatible with Cobblemon 1.7.

📜 Cobble Capsule 1.3 – Balance & Gameplay Fix
This update focuses on gameplay balance and a critical fix improving multiplayer usability for Pokémon capsules.

- Rebalanced the Capsule Core Epic recipe to reduce its overall resource cost while keeping it aligned with late-game progression.
- Added in-game compatibility with Just Enough Resources, allowing players to view ore generation levels directly in JEI.
🐞 Fixes
- Fixed Pokémon capsules not spawning for non-OP players by removing the permission restriction on the Cobblemon spawn command used internally by capsules.

📜 Cobble Capsule 1.2 – Feature Update & Stability Pass
This update brings a round of new configuration options, a major gameplay improvement to Pokémon capsule behavior, and several internal fixes to clean up edge cases and mod interactions.
🧩 Changelog
- Updated the mod license.
- Added a Pokémon level randomizer to capsules: Pokémon now spawn with a level between 1 and 100 instead of always level 1.

Added a new server-side configuration file:
- Option to independently adjust quantities for main elements and capsule types.
- Option to set custom minimum and maximum Pokémon levels for capsule spawns.
- Improved configuration handling: Protected config access during unload events and reset cached values to defaults to avoid invalid references during shutdown.
🐞 Fixes
- Corrected Mega Bracelet and Z-Ring IDs in bonus capsule loot tables when Mega Showdown is installed.
- Reworked the formatting logic used by combat capsule bonus loot tables.
- Marked core table recipes as special so the vanilla recipe book ignores them, preventing client-side “Unknown recipe category” warnings.
- Updated capsule sound definitions to reference vanilla sound events directly, removing missing-file warnings while keeping custom pitch/volume tweaks.
- Fixed a crafting issue where the Pokémon Core recipe became incompatible with certain modpacks and mods.

A quick compatibility hotfix to keep the mod aligned with the latest Mega Showdown release.

- Fixed Mega Showdown compatibility. The dependency mod moved from a Beta build (1.4+1.7) to a stable Release (1.0+1.7), so the integration has been adjusted accordingly.
