Chains is a vanilla-style data pack, that tries to improve vanilla Minecraft gameplay by adding some completely new Blocks,Items, and, most importantly, Machines. The main Idea of the Datapack is to connect Machines with CT (Chain Torque) Sources using, well, chains.

For instance, you need to connect a Sawmill to any CT Source using chains to get it to work. Although Chains was inspired by Create, none of the features were taken from it, everything was made on our own.

To make your experience even better, we've made a Resource Pack. Make sure to install it to gain yourself a completely new experience while playing with Chains. It's always better to have visual appearance, right?

💡 Unfortunately, Chains wasn't meant to be played in multiplayer, if you want to do so, you're welcome, but make sure to create a backup!

G'day everyone!

Another yet tiny chains bug fix, that took way too long for us to find, and it's all about crushing wheels. There was small bug, where crushing wheels only could be crafted using spruce planks, but now it was fixed and you can use any kind to craft them!

Another yet tiny Chains Update, this time it aims to fix the bug with Waterwheels and their strange rotation.

Fixed the bug, where stripped log in the middle of the Waterwheel didn't rotate while rotating the Waterwheel of any type except for the Spruce one with a Wrench.

Just like always, we've found a few bugs with the new 0.3 Update, so we decided to fix them quickly so that players can enjoy the new Update without any bugs.

🔒Bug Fixes

We've fixed a bug, where Transport Funnel couldn't be placed. Now it works properly. And a bug, where players weren't able to take something from Mechanical Press, in case it didn't have a funnel. Now you can do that just by pressing [RIGHT-CLICK] with Wrench on it. Also, a bug was fixed, where Depot dropped Stone Button if it was operated by a Mechanical Press and didn't have any remainder.

💓QOL Changes

In case, Depot was operated by a Mechanical Press and didn't have any remainder, it will now be able to collect new items without needing to click on it with a wrench.

The 0.3 Title

It's been a long time since the 0.2 came out. And, finally, the brand new 0.3 with completely new features is ready to release. Introducing the Chains 0.3 - Pumps and Pipes Update!

Based on the feedback we received, we have changed the term and Chain Power will now be referred to as Chain Torque.

As always, we've updated the Wiki. You can find everything you need there! To make life even easier, we made a new command:

You can now use the command to quickly search for information about the item that you are currently holding in your hand.

🔗New Machines

Steam Engine - Completely new CTS, that has 3 different tiers of progression.

Liquid Pumps and Pipes - Transport liquid with ease.

Depot - Showcase your Items or use them with different Machines.

Funnel - Output Items from different Machines.

Mechanical Press - Compress Items into their compressed variants, such as Iron Ingots into Blocks.

Filter - FIlter In- and Outputs of different Machines.

Mechanical Saw and Drill - chop Trees or break Stones. All you need is a bit of CT!

And so many bug fixes! Although it may seem, like this update is smaller than 0.2, it took us a long time to complete everything. So I hope you like it!

I encountered an issue with the Waterwheel in Chains Datapack, but I managed to fix it quickly. As a result, there's now a beta version available with this enhancement.

🔒 Bug Fixes

We have resolved two issues related to Waterwheels. Firstly, we have fixed a bug where they were not receiving the "rotating" tag, which caused them to malfunction. Additionally, we have corrected a bug where two Waterwheel Textures were appearing instead of one when a Waterwheel was placed.

G'day everyone,

A new tiny Chains Update is now available, improving TPS and overall experience with the Chains Datapack, particularly at the start, by changing how every function behaves.

The information below may seem a little complex, but to sum it up: You can achieve higher TPS if you're not currently doing Chains.

⚙️ Changelog

There has been a modification to the "Schedules" function that triggers every function when the game begins. For Instance, the Crusher functions now only execute when the player is nearby,

If the player stays away from Chain's machines or only approaches a few, it can lead to a better TPS overall.
