Chain Slide revolutionizes vertical movement in Minecraft. It allows you to intuitively climb up and rapidly slide down various pole-like blocks that were previously merely decorative. Move through your world like a firefighter!

Key Features

  • Intuitive Mechanics: Simply walk into a supported block to grab onto it. Hold space to climb up, or let go to slide down quickly.
  • Fast Descent: Sliding down is significantly faster than climbing down a vanilla ladder, making it perfect for tall builds or deep caves.
  • Precise Hitboxes: Includes custom collision detection for tricky blocks like bamboo, ensuring you always grab them correctly.
  • Fully Configurable: Don't want fences to be climbable? Turn them off easily in the settings menu.

Installation & Requirements

This mod is for Fabric.

  1. Install Fabric Loader.
  2. Download the chain_slide.jar and place it in your /mods folder.
  3. Required Dependency: You must install the Fabric API.
  4. Recommended: Install Cloth Config API and ModMenu to access the in-game configuration settings.

Release 1.0.1 - Localization and Hitbox Fixes

New Features

  • Global Localization: The ModMenu configuration screen is now fully translated! The mod will automatically adapt to your game's language settings. 🌍
  • Added support for 12 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (BR), German, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, and Indonesian.

Bug Fixes

  • Bamboo Detection Fix: Fixed an issue where bamboo stalks were sometimes impossible to climb due to their natural, randomized block offsets. The mod now uses a highly precise 3D hitbox scanner to guarantee you can always grab onto them. 🎋
  • Top Collision Fix: Fixed a bug where walking or standing on top of climbable blocks (like chains or fences) would incorrectly trigger the climbing state and cause a weird floating sensation. Your feet will now act normally when walking over them! 🛠️
