Carolina's Tweaks

A collection of minor adjustments and tweaks by Carolina to improve your game. This is the NeoForge version of the mod. The Fabric version is no longer the primary focus and I can make no guarantee that it will be maintained. This decision, despite my original intention to never provide a Forge version, is due to the state of Create Fabric which this mod was intended to work alongside.

Requires the Create mod to work! See your specific version on the version page for the required version of Create. For 1.20.1 versions of this mod, Create is optional.

Features

This adds a collection of minor features, such as berry juice, bundle of sticks and compressed cocoa blocks. It also adds a gold painted door and trapdoor, similar to the Supplementaries mod, but controllable by redstone in the same way as a typical wood door.

Furthermore, this mod adds several recipes for other mods, see the compatibility section below and the wiki for more information.

Installation

Head over the Modrinth page or the releases page on this GitHub and download the latest version that corresponds with your Minecraft version. Then, drop the downloaded file into your mods folder, and if on a server, into your server's mods folder as well.

This mod should be compatible with all mods. Additional recipes are added for the following mods:

If you are using Linux and are having issues with your cursor on Ad Astra or other modded GUIs, I recommend looking at my other mod, Wayland Cursor Fix.

Carolina's Tweaks has now been fully updated to 1.21.1!

Breaking Change: Create now required!

To use Carolina's Tweaks, you are now required to install the Create mod. This is because the mod is primarily intended to pair well with Create.

In terms of mod development, the mod now also uses Create Datagen, to allow the creation of Create recipes in a more easier way.

Recipe change: The Factory Must Go On: Steel Plate (Create: sequenced assembly)

If you have both Ad Astra and TFMG installed, Ad Astra's steel plate can be used in place of the TFMG steel plate. As a result, the TFMG steel plate sequenced assembly recipe is disabled by this mod, as personally I found it quite annoying due to it overriding Ad Astra's Create-compatible recipe, making it harder to make steel plates for Ad Astra items.

If you do not have Ad Astra installed, the recipe will remain enabled.

New Create Recipes

  • Redstone: Super-heated mixing 1000mB of lava with one quartz, one glowstone and one cinder flour will produce two redstone.
  • Copper Oxidisation: Spouting any block within base Minecraft or Create that can be oxidised with water 500mB will oxidise it to the next level. Check JEI for further information.

  • Golden Carrot: Mixing of 1 carrot and 6 golden nuggets results in 1 golden carrot.

New Create: Mixing Recipes

  • TFMG Concrete: Super-heated mixing of 1,000 mB liquid concrete produces 1 TFMG concrete block.
  • TFMG Cinder Block: Super-heated mixing of 1,000 mB liquid concrete with 6 cinder bricks and 2 rebar yields 8 TFMG cinder blocks.
  • Ad Astra Steel Ingot: Super-heated mixing of 1 iron ingot with coal or charcoal produces 1 steel ingot.

Bugs

  • Fix version string allowing all 1.20.x versions, when this should only be 1.20.1.

  • Added nether bricks recipe (create crushing 1 nether bricks block = 2 nether brick items and 25% chance of 1 cinder flour).
  • Fixed bug where mod's berry juice recipe for create mixing did not work since the Fabric port, this was due to using the old Fabric mod ID in the recipe file rather than the updated NeoForge one.

  • Added block of leather.
  • Added crafting recipe for the minecraft bell.
  • Added packets of seed variants (wheat, melon, pumpkin and beetroot).
