Blood Magic Teams

Share your Blood Magic network with your teammates!

Blood Magic Teams is an addon mod that bridges Blood Magic and FTB Teams, allowing players to bind their blood orbs, daggers, and other bindable items to their team instead of themselves personally.

IMPORTANT - This project required FTB Teams to function, you will be responsible for obtaining this mod, it's NOT included


Features

Team Binding

When you right-click an unbound Blood Magic item while on a team, you'll be presented with a choice:

  • Personal Binding - Works exactly like vanilla Blood Magic (bound to you only)
  • Team Binding - Binds the item to your entire team's shared LP network

Shared LP Network

Items bound to a team can be used by any team member! This means:

  • Teammates can use each other's bound blood orbs
  • Sacrificial daggers can fill a shared pool
  • All team members benefit from LP generation

Remember My Choice

Don't want to see the popup every time? Check "Don't ask again" and your preference will be saved. You can always change it later with commands.


Commands

/bloodmagicteams - Main command with subcommands:

  • /bloodmagicteams preference [personal|team] - Set your default binding preference
  • /bloodmagicteams preference reset - Clear saved preference and ask again
  • /bloodmagicteams status - View your current binding settings
  • These are convenience commands only, the UI handles all of this for you normally.

Configuration

All features can be configured in the config file:

  • Enable/disable team binding functionality
  • Show/hide the binding selection UI
  • Team leaders can restrict team binding via FTB Teams properties

FAQ

Q: What happens if I leave my team? A: Items bound to your old team will no longer work for you. You'll need to rebind them.

Q: Can I convert a personal-bound item to team-bound? A: No, bindings are permanent. You'll need a new item to bind to your team.

Q: Does this work with all Blood Magic items? A: Yes! Any item that implements Blood Magic's binding system (orbs, daggers, sigils, etc.) will work with team binding. Should also work for addon mods.

Bug Fixes

  • Ensure FTB Teams manager is loaded before accessing the API to prevent crashes when the team manager is queried before initialization.
  • Fix Binding serialization NPE via mixin that guards against unresolved player names for team UUIDs.
  • Fix mappings.

Improvements

  • Allow team members to use Blood Orbs and Divination/Seer Sigils on team-bound soul networks:
    • Blood Orbs can set the orb tier on a team-bound network when used by a team member.
    • Divination and Seer Sigils suppress the "other network" message for team members.
  • Add client-side team resolution so team names and identifiers resolve correctly on the client (tooltips, UI) when the server manager is unavailable.
  • Replace "Unknown" tooltip owners with the correct team name for better cross-mod compatibility, and add a consistent "Team Bound" indicator to item tooltips.
