A massive, feature-rich survival progression plugin and administrative utility suite that completely overhauls vanilla mob mechanics.

BetterLeashes & Utils upgrades basic leashing into a deep 6-tier crafting progression, replaces random vanilla taming with a diet-specific stat system, implements a secure player-to-player mob marketplace, and provides a fully interactive visual control panel for server operators.

This plugin operates entirely server-side. Players can connect and experience every single feature without downloading any client-side mods or resource packs.

Advanced Leashing & 6-Tier Progression

Break vanilla limitations and leash any entity in the game, including Zombies, Creepers, Ghasts, and Wardens. Beyond universal leashing, players can craft through 6 distinct tiers of leads, each permanently enhancing the leashed mob:

• Normal Lead: The standard lead.
• Diamond Lead: (Lead + Diamond) Grants +50% leash range and complete fall damage immunity.
• Netherite Lead: (Diamond Lead + Netherite Ingot) Grants +100% range, fire/lava immunity, and is completely Unbreakable.
• Flower Lead: (8 Alliums + Lead) Leashed mobs permanently glow and regenerate health over time.
• Heavenly Lead: (Flower Lead + Netherite Lead) Combines all previous effects and grants the leashed mob full invincibility to all damage sources. Unbreakable.
• Divine Lead: (8 Diamond Leads + Heavenly Lead) The ultimate end-game tool. Grants flight-speed follow mechanics and unlocks the Divine Utility Menu, allowing players to spawn items, heal, and feed at the expense of leash tokens.

Server admins can globally toggle leash breaking, fall damage, glowing, speed-keep-up, and multi-leashing, or apply custom overrides to specific players.

Diet-Specific Taming & Unique Stats

The days of random vanilla taming are gone. Mobs now require a specialized, progress-based taming process where you must feed them the exact food types they desire.

• Unique Diets: Cows eat Wheat, but Zombies eat Rotten Flesh, Wardens require Echo Shards, and the Ender Dragon requires a Dragon Egg!
• Progress Tracking: Taming is only successful once a specific, calculated threshold of food has been consumed.
• Rolled Stats: Every tamed mob features individual attributes. The system rolls unique Speed and Health stats upon successful taming, ensuring your pets are distinctly powerful.
• Protector Mobs: Tamed hostile and neutral mobs (like Wolves, Iron Golems, and Zombified Piglins) will automatically defend their owner if attacked.

Universal Mounting & Action Bar HUD

Take total control of your environment. Once a mob is successfully tamed, players can equip it with a standard Saddle to immediately mount and ride it across the map.

• Ride Anything: From tamed Spiders to tamed Ender Dragons, seamlessly transit across your world.
• Real-Time HUD: While riding, a custom Action Bar displays your mount's exact Health and Speed stats in real-time.

The Mob Marketplace Economy

Access a dedicated, interactive visual marketplace menu using /betterleashes shop.

• Player-to-Player Trading: Safely sell, buy, or swap your high-stat, custom-tamed mobs with other players for coins.
• Secure Transfers: The interface handles transactions smoothly, utilizing custom Spawn Eggs with hidden Persistent Data Container (PDC) tags to ensure data consistency, prevent entity duplication, and safeguard your economic investments.
• Seller Ratings: Browse listings complete with speed/health previews and a 5-star seller rating system.

End-Game Progression: The Divine Utility Menu

The apex of the plugin’s progression system is tied to the Divine Lead. Right-clicking the air while holding it opens a massive, comprehensive utility GUI:

• Tame Points Economy: Earn 10,000 points daily to spend in the menu.
• Block Shop: Buy full stacks (64) of blocks ranging from Common (Dirt, Sand) to Epic (Netherite Blocks, Beacons, Shulker Boxes).
• Daily Divine Summon: Once every 24 hours, summon a fully tamed, max-stat boss mob (Warden, Wither, Ravager, etc.) directly to your location.
• Pet Stat Editor: Select up to 5 of your tamed pets and manually customize their Health (up to 50 hearts), Movement Speed, and apply permanent Jump Boost II.
• Divine Tamer Status: Crafters are awarded a permanent glowing effect and a custom [Divine Tamer] chat prefix.

Interactive Admin GUI & Server Tools

Instead of forcing server owners to memorize complex chat commands, use /betterleashes toggle gui to open a fully interactive visual control panel. Tweak settings, toggle mechanics, and adjust physics live on the fly:

• World Management: Instantly change time, weather, and tick speed (1 to 100). Toggle daylight cycle and mob spawning.
• Quick Utilities: Heal/feed yourself, clear inventories, teleport to spawn, or purge hostile mobs to reduce server lag.
• Gamemode Switcher: Toggle between Survival, Creative, Adventure, and Spectator modes.
• Player Management: Select player heads to instantly Heal, Feed, Kick, Ban, OP, or DeOP users directly from the GUI.

Commands

• /betterleashes shop - Open the player-to-player mob marketplace.
• /betterleashes tamed follow <on/off> - Toggle your tamed mobs following you.
• /betterleashes tamed list - View the stats and UUIDs of your tamed mobs.
• /betterleashes tamed untame <id> - Release a tamed mob back into the wild.
• /betterleashes toggle gui - Open the Admin Control Panel (OP Required).
• /betterleashes toggle <setting> <true/false> - Modify server-wide leash rules (OP Required).

Installation & Setup

1. Download the latest compiled .jar file.
2. Drop the file directly into your server's plugins/ directory.
3. Restart or reload your server to generate the default configuration files.
4. Assign permissions via LuckPerms or your preferred permission plugin!

BetterLeashes & Utils is built from the ground up to respect native Bukkit/Spigot/Paper permission nodes. Server administrators have 100% control over the game economy and progression system by gating specific lead tiers, marketplace interactions, admin tools, and high-tier utility menus behind standard permission managers.
