Description

Welcome to Assorted Discoveries! This is a mod built for fabric that has always been about creating a modded experience that blends seamlessly with vanilla Minecraft. Each new item, block, and food has been carefully considered as to how well they fit into the original game. I hope that through my mod, you can find new features that you always wished Minecraft would add. Any of these features can also be disabled easily through the config as well!

Features

  • New crops and dynamic planter boxes.
  • Rope ladders of every wood type that can hang from blocks.
  • Lots of new foods (including cakes and pies).
  • Colored lanterns, campfires, and torches.
  • Plushies of nearly every mob in the game!
  • A new bouncy mushroom type.
  • A new plant that releases particles.
  • Rabbits can fall further before taking damage.
  • And tons of new blocks as well as a few new variations for existing blocks.

Info for Server Admins and Modpack Creators

  • The Assorted Discoveries Config Screen only edits the local config file (the one in the .minecraft folder). For servers, please manually edit the generated config file in your server's config folder after running Assorted Discoveries for the first time!

Bugs Fixed:

  1. The dispenser now gives off particles when bonemealing end stone. This should be fixed for servers as well.
  2. Improved compatibility with mods that alter dispenser behavior!
  3. Both the lower podzol and mycelium slabs now use the correct model for snowy slabs.
  4. The "cuddle buddy" advancement is now correctly disabled when all plushie config options are disabled.
  5. Fixed the config option for the pale oak wall recipe. It now is correctly enabled/disabled when the enable_stripped_wooden_walls is enabled/disabled instead of the enable_wooden_walls option!
  6. Lower dirt path slabs now correctly turn back into dirt slabs when a block is placed on them, when the slabbed mod is installed.
  7. Mycelium slabs now give off particles similar to the mycelium block.
  8. Mushrooms now can be placed on mycelium and podzol slabs.
  9. Each mixin method now has a unique name. This should help with compatibility with other mods.
  10. Wooden walls are now strippable with an axe.
  11. Added the wiki to the mod menu screen.

Technical:

  1. Added the "any_in_category_enabled" resource load condition.

I've backported all features and fixes from the latest 26.2 version to 1.21.11:

  • The sheep plushies now sit!
  • The cow and mooshroom plushies now sit!
  • Cleaned up and fixed the block registries. This should fix the "Can't place grass blocks bug!"
  • Added the cold and warm pig plushie variants.
  • The config now uses the optimized code!
  • Removed the recipe advancements. Please use a recipe viewer mod instead!
  • The hoglin and zoglin plushies now sit!
  • Dispensers can now bonemeal end stone to grow ender grass and snapdragons!
  • Backported the snowy slab fixes!
  • Backported every mixin fix!

This file was re-uploaded, because a tiny bug with cullfaces snuck in.

  1. Added support for the slabbed mod so now when its installed grass and many other plants can be planted on slabs from Assorted Discoveries!
  2. Fixed the grass, podzol, mycelium slabs so now they only get snow when completely covered both for vanilla and when slabbed is installed!
