Alice Magic
Alice Magic is a plugin designed to monitor players’ clients and mod lists, preventing the use of unauthorized mods on the server.
How it works
- Players who join without installing the required mods will receive 3 in-game warnings. After that, they will be kicked to the lobby with a message: “Alice-Magic” mod missing.
- This is mandatory for mod users. Vanilla or Bedrock players do not need to install the mod.
Alice-Magic Mod
- Detects cheating programs or related mods such as Meteor Client, Wurst Client, or Baritone Mod.
- If detected, the player is kicked with instructions to remove the offending mod.
- Only checks mods on the client at the time of joining and does not affect the player’s device.
Hotkey Integration
- Supports Hotkeys to quickly access server features, such as opening the mod check interface or triggering server-related actions.

The periodic background security scan used the same send path as user-facing messages, so it popped this toast at the main menu or on non-AliceMagic servers (where the channel is legitimately closed). Background telemetry now sends silently; user-initiated actions still warn if the channel is genuinely down.

- 26.2 client aligned with the shared initialization API so it builds cleanly from a fresh checkout.

- Auto-updater no longer deletes the running mod when the version string contains build metadata (e.g.
1.1.4+mc26.1.2). Previously the cleanup routine failed to recognize the active jar and renamed/removed it on launch. - Update GUI now displays clean version numbers (strips the
+mc...build-metadata suffix) for both the current and the new version.
Notes
- On MC 26.2 the in-game browser (MCEF) is unavailable until an MCEF build for 26.2 is released; the mod automatically falls back to opening links in your external browser.
