A Postknight Mod is a simple mod aiming to add content from the Postknight games to Minecraft, a little at a time.

Please note that it is not advised to play the mod in survival until at least 0.1.0 - the first beta.

0.0.1 - Alpha 1 - Metals (Bronze, Silver, Platinum, Dragonite) - Complete

0.0.2 - Alpha 2 - Trees (Walnut, Maple, Frozen Fir, Cypress, Coral) - Complete

0.0.3 - Alpha 3 - Herbs, flowers, gems, and metals & woods specific to Postknight 1 (Too many to list)

This version has been split up into more manageable sub-alphas to create a more reasonable workload.

0.0.3a - Alpha 3a - Herbs (Postknight 2)

0.0.3b - Alpha 3b - Herbs (Postknight 1)

0.0.3c - Alpha 3c - Wood & metal from Postknight 1 missing from Alphas 1 & 2

0.0.3d - Alpha 3d - Flowers (Both games)

0.0.3f - Alpha 3f - Optional resource pack to switch textures to Postknight 1 style where there is a discrepancy in appearances (main mod will be using Postknight 2 with priority)

0.0.4 - Alpha 4 - Enemy drops (Maille)

0.0.5 - Alpha 5 - Weapons & armour (Maille)

0.0.6 - Alpha 6 - Potions (hopefully)

0.1.0 - Beta 1 - Dire wolves (all 3 stages)

0.2.0 - Beta 2 - Flowerflies & Blooplets

0.3.0 - Beta 3 - Robblins (all 3)

1.0.0 - Release 1 - All remaining Maille content

Please note that this roadmap is subject to change without warning.

When weapons are added (in 0.0.5), it will be advised to use this mod with the Better Combat mod - inbuilt support will be included - to match the feel of the weapons. Epic fight will not be innately compatible.

Bear in mind that this mod contains modified versions of Minecraft assets. I do not claim to have made the originals, and nor do I have any rights to them.

Added the 5 Postknight wood types:

  • Walnut
  • Maple
  • Frozen Fir
  • Cypress
  • Coral

(Note that in some cases, most notably Coral and Cypress, the colours were muted slightly to make them feel less out of place in Minecraft)

Where there is ambiguity around what type of tree is actually involved, I have attempted to match the logs to one of the background trees and gone from there. For example, Maple was assigned as the purple and pink pine-looking tree in Violetfair, despite my own botanical objections to this.

Added all normal wood blocks for the above:

  • Logs
  • Stripped Logs
  • Wood
  • Stripped Wood
  • Planks
  • Pressure Plates
  • Buttons
  • Signs
  • Saplings
  • Leaves
  • Doors (based on doors from the settlement in the region the wood is from)
  • Trapdoors
  • Fences
  • Fence Gates
  • Stairs
  • Slabs

Boats have not been added.

Also added natural generation for trees:

  • Walnut in forests (to match Maille)
  • Maple in swamps (to partially match Violetfair, until a custom biome is later added)
  • Frozen Fir in taiga biomes (to match Aldor)
  • Cypress in jungles (to match Sagacia)
  • Coral in windswept savannas, which will be changed later to deserts.

Added the four Postknight metals:

  • Bronze

  • Stone ore
  • Deepslate ore
  • Raw metal item (the Postknight 'ore')
  • Raw metal block
  • Metal ingot
  • Metal block
  • Metal nugget
