Whether you simply want more fluffy friends, or just some more variety in your world. A Couple of Canines is a datapack that adds a few new wolf variants to vanilla Minecraft to help with that.
IMPORTANT:
The resource pack for A Couple of Canines is required for the textures to show.
Here is a list of the current wolves and their spawn locations:
Varied Wolves: Windswept Forest
Smoky Wolves: Old Growth Birch Forest
Masked Wolves: Cherry Groves
Fields Wolves: Plains
Dusty Wolves: Desert
Shrub Wolves: Windswept Savanna

Coinciding with the release of 1.20.5, I've made a few spawn adjustments for consistency.
Dusty Wolves should hopefully spawn a bit less now, it was too frequent prior.
Fields Wolves now spawn less. I want these wolves to not be common, since I feel players should find wolves outside of plains first most of the time.
Smoky Wolves spawn rate slightly increased, makes it consistent with Woods Wolf spawn rate.

- Added Fields Wolf, spawns rarely in Plains biomes
- Added Varied Wolf, spawns in Windswept Forest biomes
- Shrub Wolves now spawn in Windswept Savanna biomes instead of Swamp biomes, their spawn rate has been increased
- Minor change to Smoky Wolf texture (rp)
