The Bracken Pack [1.19-26.1.2] Adds 11 fantasy dimensions to Minecraft!

What started as a fun programming project to keep my mind busy during the pandemic took on a mind of it's own!

Play as one of twelve playable species and explore a multiverse of possibilities! From the ore-filled caves of the Underdark, to the anti-PVP dimension of Pax, each dimension caters to a different type of Minecraft player.

This data pack adds 11 dimensions, more than 70 biomes, and more than 90 custom structures to Minecraft, as well as powerful weapons and ability books that provide a deal of utility to the game.

Players can travel between most dimensions by either building up to the max build height or digging down to near bedrock level. Although some dimensions can only be accessed through more difficult means.

26.1-26.1.2 UPDATE

Another update made possible with the team's great efforts!

-Grandmaster updated data and resource pack to accommodate the 26.1 version of Minecraft. Also works on 1.26.2

-Grandmaster/Crimdev fixed issue with certain netherite golems in Sanctum pillar potentially dropping a full netherite block upon death.

-Grandmaster fixed issue with Bygone Viceroy spawning in with the wrong base mobs.

-Crimdev fixed issue with the Fae Emperor spawning in with the wrong base mobs.

-Crimdev buffed Frostkin. A damage command is applied whenever they encounter fire or lava instead of the insane amount of instant damage effect that was previously applied. The damage type is fire, thereby improving the effectiveness of cryolith and netherite armor to shield them from that sort of damage.

-Crimdev found and fixed issue with cryolith armor obtained in loot tables being weaker than cryolith armor made with a smithing table.

-Grandmaster fixed issues with varkstorm music event.

-Grandmaster refitted a multitude of fields to more appropriate dimension_type and timeline files.

-Grandmaster equipped all time_check predicates with a clock component.

-Grandmaster fixed issues with several worldgen features like, ice_spike, forest_rock, and random_patch.

-Grandmaster increased the step height in Varskspace so it is easier to sprint without bumping into anything.

-Grandmaster and Crimdev made it so admin commands can summon bosses in any dimension without mob swapping issues.

-Grandmaster buffed Nereids jumping so they can pillar up like other species.

-Grandmaster added wind sounds to Dormis shechemium biome.

-Grandmaster renamed all antiquated references to the lightning bolt ability book as, "travel call."

-Grandmaster added new ability book called, "Summon Lightning." It does what the name implies. ---ask

-Crimdev fixed issue with silversteel helmet enchantments not working.

-Crimdev fixed issue with frostwalker and infused_frostwalker not protecting Frostkin from magma blocks.

-Crimdev buffed the fire resistance properties of cryolith.

-Crimdev updated Frostkin species descriptions to match species' buffs.

-Crimdev added stab attack animation to daggers and rapiers.

-Crimdev fixed mistimed nightfall jump sound event.

-Crimdev fixed issue with custom wings taking item damage when hit.

-Bracken corrected issues with lustra, cryolith, verdant, meteoric, silversteel and old world bronze armor where armors were posesing up to 5x the amount of durability they should have.

-Bracken buffed silversteel armor. Full silversteel now grants 30 armor and 20 armor toughness.

-Bracken corrected issue with lustra, silversteel, and old world bronze armor attributes not matching loot table versions.

-Crimdev fixed issue with bobbit worm console spam.

-Crimdev improved Enderling teleportation.

-Crimdev fixed issue with omnipower disruptor beam hurting the wielder.

-Crimdev fixed issue with polyfolus duplication.

-Grandmaster addressed issue with multiple music tracks simultaneously being played in Varskspace.

-Crimdev updated endermen spawners in omnidrome palace structure.

-Bracken made it so attacking with silversteel weapons can clear most effects as well as cure zombie villagers.

-Bracken made it so flame walker boots no longer damage the wearer with flames.

-Bracken made it so flood walker boots only activate when crouching.

-Bracken fixed issue with silversteel armors not reducing potion, enderpearl, and lightning damage.

-Bracken added lunge to the list of enchantments blocked by the silvered enchantment.

-Bracken fixed issue where certain forbidden combinations of enchantments were possible on the same item.

-Bracken made it so obliteration enchantment works on spears instead of shovels.

-Bracken made it so wearing any armor item with the searing surface enchantment grants immunity to cold damage.

-Bracken buffed boldness enchantment. Full boldness x5 gear now grants bonus +8 damage to attacks instead of +5.

MY TEAM IS BEST TEAM

Seriously. While I was preoccupied by Hytale’s latest worldgen competition, my team was hard at work composing PHENOMINAL changes to the pack. Improvements to performance, cleaning up unused elements and reformatting the files to be much more navigable are just a fraction of what they did. And if you don’t believe me, take a look at the following…

CRIMDEV’S CHANGE LOG

  • Fixed non-functional armor trims.

  • Addressed issue in Pax where attack damage debuff didn’t let players destroy boats, minecarts or armor stands.

  • Players now have weakness effect in pax (PvP prevention), workaround system added using interaction entities. To add armor to an armor stand, right-click its right side. To break it, left-click its left side.

  • Turned admin tp command into dialog command system. (/function bracken:admin/_tp_to_dimension)

  • Added species info dialog. Players can now do "/trigger bracken.species_info" which shows a recap of their species' stats & abilities, exactly the same as what you'd see in the initial species selection dialog. (may or may not include an easter egg)

  • Fixed splintering enchantment. Splitering level 2 and 3 now correctly split into 4 and 5 arrows respectively. Splinter arrows no longer have fire by default.

  • Omnipowers rework. A big rework of the omnipower system. Players now can click on a GUI to use omnipowers, instead of typing commands. The system is also much more optimized, because it does not rely on having so many different scoreboards to track command permissions & cooldowns.

Server admins: should you wish to grant permissions (to yourself or other players), please use /function bracken:player/omnipower/perms/set/(autocomplete) or /execute as player run function bracken:player/omnipower/perms/set/(autocomplete).

NEVER, EVER do /scoreboards players set player OMNI.PERMISSIONS_OTHER (value), UNLESS you know EXACTLY what you are doing. Same goes for OMNI.PERMISSIONS_BOOK, obviously.

If something went wrong you can always do /execute as (player) run function bracken:dev/revoke_omnitriggers.

  • Fixed lustra duplication glitch. Lustra blocks had a misconfigured loot table that allowed players to quickly duplicate massive amounts of lustra. This has been fixed; now single petrified oak slabs will drop 4 lustra pearls.

  • Fixed varskstorm

  • Rectified returning tides ability book. Immobility check is exhaustive. Any kind of movement will now prevent returning tides from completing. Note that this check is extremely strict (speed has to be exactly 0).

GRANDMASTER’S CHANGE LOG

QOL Changes:

  • Added config option to enable/disable the species selection dialog.

  • Added config option to enable/disable the species selection dialog teleporting players to other dimensions.

  • Removed the elytra nerf when flying in the rain.

  • Made some fun tweaks to Disruptor: - Changed tinted glass particle that is spawned when moving to a structure void block - Boss should no longer be tweaking out when trying to face the player. Rotation should be steady now. - Laser attack will fire at a faster rate the lower the health.

  • Reduced the time that a mansion portal will stay active from 7 min to 5 min.

  • Golden Horn now properly functions as an anti-elytra item. Anyone flying nearby while a horn is used will be forced to face the ground and dive bomb.

  • Players can no longer randomly travel to Dormis from the void.

  • Changed the effect from the potion of Greed from luck to Strength.

  • Greed potion rewards more xp from killing mobs. For Greed potion amplifiers 0-2 the xp reward went from 1,2,4 xp to 1,3,8 xp.

  • Added more admin commands to summon custom mobs.

  • Changed all the species teams to have "bp" for better datapack compatibility.

  • Being in the Magnificent Mansion will now remove the void dimension jump strength and gravity attributes from the player.

  • Teleporting back from the Magnificent Mansion will clear the void slow fall effect.

  • Added buttons in the beginning dialog that allow users to travel back to species selection on the dimension screen.

  • Sanctum Embassy Omniportal has particles and sound effects and creates a spawn platform in Omnidrome when traveling through it.

  • Removed the feature where players were given slow falling while in water in Pax.

  • Removed a feature where a clay block would be placed when traveling to Sanctum.

  • Changed the Fae Emperor explosion attack to not damage blocks or harm itself.

  • The first player to join a world will now be notified of the config menu and changing species with /team

  • Added a conduit return portal when traveling between the Overworld and The Brine.

  • Players no longer need to look at the top surface of a conduit to travel to The Brine and can now look at a conduit from any direction.

  • The Astral Projection potion now has a cooldown after use. Weakness and Slowness are applied during this cooldown. This is to prevent players getting locked unfairly by players weaponizing lingering or splash potions of Astral Projection.

  • Made Dunkleosteus move much faster in water (but they don't turn ultra instinct on land).

  • Added Title Cards when a player travels to a Bracken Pack dimension for the first time.

  • Sporangium will no longer summon more than 30 slimes in the arena.

  • All Sporangium and children will glow to help the player find them.

  • Players must kill all Sporangium children to actually defeat the boss.

  • Tweaked Unsung sword behavior so that the boss can't attack with them if there isn't any sword being held (as opposed to not attacking if the sword being held wasn't a default iron sword).

  • Gave Unsung depth strider on boots to prevent some cheese potential with water.

  • Added a new texture for the Void Pull ability book (thanks to Yoann who made the texture!)

  • Changed loot tables in Sanctum that previously held netherite ingots to netherite scrap. (it was too broken to get >70 ingots in structures lmao)

  • Added Jellyfish to most brine biomes.

  • Added text that tells players they can use /trigger bracken.species_info

  • Several tweaks to the Kraken boss

    • Kraken no longer destroys water around itself which was causing an enormous amount of lag.
    • Kraken no longer harms itself with some attacks.
    • Reduced Grapple attack damage and increased Slap attack damage.
    • Previously the Kraken would dive down and make it difficult to actually engage the boss in combat if they were forced to battle in the Blackwater Depths. This behavior has been tweaked so the boss will dive down when it is above y=250 and will swim upwards when below y=250 allowing for a consistently stable battle in the middle depth of the ocean.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed custom suns and moons to properly display in the Bracken Pack dimensions.

  • Fixed an enormous amount of broken nbt conversions when transitioning between minecraft updates. There are too many of these to mention but these changes fixed over 100 bugs.

  • Fixed Fae Emperor dropping duplicate items on death.

  • Fixed many issues where multiple of the same boss active could cause conflicts. All bosses should no longer cause issues when near each other as well.

  • Prevented an issue where some bossbars could be removed when one of the same boss was killed and another was still active.

  • Fixed an issue where drinking a Greed potion could override the current Greed potion duration.

  • Fixed travel between sanctum and omnidrome using an end crystal which was previously broken.

  • Fixed an issue where brewing a Greed potion with an Essence of Eternity didn't increase the amplifier.

  • Fixed an issue where splash and lingering potions of Greed and Astral Projection wouldn't function.

  • Fixed an issue where Realmkeepers could not properly join their species.

  • Dwellers are no longer blinded in Spectator mode.

  • Villains no longer invoke anger on mobs while in creative or spectator mode

  • Fixed an issue where nautiluses would spawn extremely frequently in certain Brine biomes

  • Fixed an issue where the brine station would spawn too high up in the Brine and generation would be cut off due to reaching the world limit.

  • Fixed Crofter to properly play its hum sound effect.

  • Added netherite horse armor to work with the trampling enchant.

  • Changed arrows that the Fae Emperor spawns to not be affected by the Fae Stand. This was previously causing an enormous amount of lag when fighting the Fae Emperor.

  • Fixed an issue where splash and lingering potions of Greed and Astral Projection would not function.

  • Fixed camel husks causing issues when spawned in several custom dimensions.

  • Fixed a long standing issue where most bosses would not properly execute their death sequence if too much damage was applied to the boss when it was near death.

  • Several bosses can no longer be cheesed with boats and minecarts.

  • Fixed an issue where placing armor stands could advance Ostiarius' secret ending.

  • Fixed an issue where changing species while as an Automech in water wouldn't remove in water attributes.

  • The Bracken Pack was changing all golden helmets to a crown texture. This has been changed so that only the Thrall's Crown has this texture.

  • Fixed Dust Storms and Blizzards not working in Sanctum and Glacium.

  • Removed allays spawning in the Faewild mesosphere biome (it seemed to cause problems)

  • Updated Glacial Mass entity spawning to prevent breezes being spawned in large numbers.

  • Fixed brine zeppelin structures being spawned in a broken state.

  • Fix for cyber tree omnipower almost always failing to be placed.

  • Fixed several issues with the disrupter beam omnipower including the power harming the user and not harming certain mobs.

  • Fixed the road north omnipower generating a road with pink stained glass instead of yellow stained glass.

  • Fixed kill book texture in magnificent mansion.

  • The uninstall function should properly remove all scoreboards.

  • Fixed a long standing issue where lava was generating at the bottom of several dimensions, oftentimes within pools of water.

  • Fixes to the Giant Lilypad generation in Panacea. Previously this structure would frequently spawn underground or cause vegetation to hover in the air. The structure should now generate in a more natural way.

  • Fixes to prevent Giant Sniffers in Panacea from suffocating in blocks when they spawn. This mob now breaks trees and other vegetation when it moves around.

BRACKEN’S CHANGE LOG

-Normalized the base mob of many bosses to be a stray instead of zombies or skeletons (because they can be converted into drowned or stray).

-Changed Glacium column features in the destitute garrison biome to be less laggy. Columns are topped with sea lanterns instead of the smoke-producing campfires.

-Removed clouds from the Underdark.

3-10-26 HOTFIX

Sanctum sun texture would display at sunset in the overworld. This has been fixed but as a consequence players with the night vision effect will not be able to see the custom sun when in Sanctum for the duration of the effect.

In addition, mob spawning in the Faewild and Underdark has been adjusted to be less difficult.

FEBRUARY UPDATE

-Updated to 1.21.11

-Conure cleaned up code related to item textures of fae knight, frostkin mob #5 and mass heal ability book. (Thx dude)

With the recent changes to dimension type data and timelines, a collection of the following aesthetic decisions were made.

-Glacium sky and lighting turn bright green once per day/night cycle.

-Glacium fog distance has been reduced.

-Added custom sun/moon textures to Glacium.

-Found an unexpected way to make Omnidrome coloration look good again!

-Adjusted position of Omnidrome custom sun.

-Stars now pulse in Omnidrome.

-Increased Panacea day/night cycle length to 72,000 ticks.

-Reduced Panacea fog distance.

-Adjusted Panacea sky color and sky fog color.

-Added custom sun and moon textures to Panacea.

-Added solar eclipse events to Panacea.

-Removed Pax custom sun texture.

-Raised sun and moon to share the Pax sky.

-Restored the old blue lighting tint that Sanctum used to have.

-Increased size of Sanctum custom sun.

-Added barely noticeable custom moon texture to Sanctum.

-Changed Faewild sky and lighting to be more purple.

-Increased size of custom sun texture and moon texture in Faewild.

-Changed sky color and fog color of Brine dimension.

-Added orbital rings (custom moon texture) to Brine.

-Greatly increased the speed at which stars rotate in Varskspace.

NOVEMBER UPDATE

Smaller update this time. Focused primarily on making Glacium and the End dimensions more habitable.

-Updated data and resource pack to accommodate Minecraft version 1.21.10

-Removed Bracken pack version of copper swords, pickaxes, axes, hoes, shovels, and armor in place of Mojang’s new copper items.

-Elytra now have a harder time flying in the rain.

-Floating magma islands and swamp islands generate in the Brine.

-Glistering melon slices are now edible. Although they grant less saturation than golden carrots, they can be rapidly eaten in a fraction of the time.

-Popped chorus fruits can be eaten and provide about the same level of saturation as a cooked steak.

-Chorus flowers can be crafted into planks.

-Chorus fruits can be crafted into magenta dye.

-Enabled the spawning of more passive and neutral mobs like chicken, foxes, polar bears, wolves, and cows to Glacium.

-Slain endermites drop blank dye.

-Issue with players not being able to choose to play as Realmkeepers from the outset of the game has been fixed.

-Issue with players automatically switching species to Realmkeepers after entering Pax has been fixed.

-Issue with players being unable to switch teams to Human with the opening dialog has been fixed.

-Players using a conduit to travel to the Brine now teleport above sea level instead of at the exact same xyz coordinates they had been in the overworld.

END OF SUMMER 1.21.8 UPDATE

Have You noticed I’m slowing down?

SPECIES CHANGES

-New players who start on a Bracken pack world will be prompted with a dialog screen asking which species they’d like to play as. After selecting, they will also be asked if they would like to start their adventure in the respective home dimension of that species.

Each dimension comes with a difficulty rating as well as a warning for certain dimensions like Dormis.

To prevent players from getting “locked” into an undesirable dimension, I made it so players will respawn in the overworld if they die. However, if you make it far enough to set your spawnpoint with a bed or respawn anchor, you will instead respawn in your chosen dimension.

-Species beginner scroll has been removed.

-Removed lackluster Frostkin buff they get from walking in powdered snow.

-Replaced Outlander backstab ability with auto swiftsneak.

-Fixed issue with Dwellers getting blinded by bright, light source blocks.

-Fixed issue with former Villain players retaining extra hp even after changing species.

DORMIS CHANGES

-Bezerium biome now has more red sandstone than yellow concrete powder. It also has a lot more fire.

-Kedeshium biome has been migrated to a higher y-level and contains granite instead of obsidian.

-Hebronium biome has been modeled to look like the old Kedesium biome with obsidian and crying obsidian blocks.

-Added howling wind sounds to shechemium biome.

-Cut the size of the Dormis maze template pool in half to reduce the lag it generated.

-Added tnt traps to Dormis, as well as motion detecting copper bulbs, and “false” tnt traps just to confuse people even more.

-Dormis slate now generates in the kedesium biome, Dormis maze now generates in the ramothium biome.

-Added 7 new mobs to Dormis, each based on certain mix/max strategies.

  • Blinded Markskin are a long-ranged mob that fires a bow with rending, flame, power x5, punch x2, and splintering x3, while using instant damage x3 tipped arrows. They also wear little blindfolds but they’ve been modified to have increased player follow range.

  • Phariserpens are a tanky mob that has armor piercing cryolith sickle attacks that deal poison, slowness, and blindness effects.

  • Bonewaller mobs have meteoric armor with boldness x5, a wolf’s head helmet to increase attack damage, strength x3 effect, and wield the same mortal cull greataxe weapon that drops from the Panacea sporangium boss, freshly enchanted with mortality x5, knockback x2, fire aspect x2, reverse thorns x3, and devouring curse x3.

  • Plunderer mobs have the wind charged effect, jump boost x3, and pushback x3 on lustra armor. Also on armor can be found full feather falling, blast protection, thorns, and float walker enchantments. They attack with a mace with breach x4, knockback x2, windburst x3, sharpness x5, and density x5.

  • Forsaken Miner shoots a crossbow with fireworks rockets, rending, and multishot x3. They hold a totem of undying in their offhand and set off a small firework explosion every time they get hit by an entity.

  • Ferral Fae mob is equipped with verdant armor, a wanderlight wand in the mainhand, and a copper apple in the offhand. They have permanent regeneration, fire resistance and health boost effects.

  • Betrayerkin might be broken. I min/maxed every defensive stat and the results are monstrous. It takes an iron golem 26 strikes to finish them off. They have cryolith armor with protection 4, a lustra buckler with guarding 5, and a tulip wand in the offhand with guarding 5. Cryolith has terrible durability and breaks rapidly, but item durability is negated when equipped to a mob.

GLACIUM CHANGES

-Fixed issue with Bygone viceroy instantly dying and transforming into two slayerkin mobs.

-Fixed issue with Glacium sun structure deleting nearby terrain.

-Frostkin Glacium mobs now drop diamond shards instead of iron nuggets and ingots.

-Added thick ocean ice layer to Glacium’s glacial mass biome.

-Added more passive mob variety to Glacium’s invasive forest biome.

OMNIDROME CHANGES

Added 3 custom Omnidrome mobs.

  • Adapter-T is a modified vex that flies around and buffs other hostile mobs with strength and speed. More are spawned when a Macroprocessor mob is attacked.

  • Parser-B is a long-ranged mob that fires a crossbow with multishot x9. It fires tipped arrows containing weaving, oozing, and infested effects.

  • Capaciphite are giant, green shulkers with greatly increased range. They attack all players except Automech players.

-All slimes in the Omnidrome explode in a burst of lingering potion and hunger potion effects. This makes the oozing effect dangerous.

-All silverfish spawned in the Omnidrome transform into adapter-t mobs. This makes the infestation effect even more dangerous.

-Omnidrome hostile mobs now drop iron nuggets and ingots.

PANACEA CHANGES

-Greater biodiversity added to Panacea. Noticeable increases in dolphins, fish, and hoglin across most biomes.

-Fixed issue with verdant helmet crafting recipe not working.

-Added new biome to Panacea in honor of data pack developer and Youtuber extraordinaire, Conure. The conure conclave features a variety of tree types, as well as floating islands. I’m still working on a means to inundate the biome with an abundance of parrots without causing lag though. (I’m probably thinking structures tbh)

PAX CHANGES

-Added happy ghasts to Pax.

-Removed powdered snow from Pax and restored water ocean.

SANCTUM CHANGES

-Sanctum whirlwinds have been replaced with giant breeze mobs. Be careful, they will still catapult you high into the air!

-Fized old issue with Sanctum functions not triggering if the player had never once held the sneak key.

-Silverfish now spawn in Sanctum’s toxic playa biome.

BRINE CHANGES

-Added new block to the game. The block of lustra is a pink-colored block and drops 9 lustra pearls when mined with a pickaxe. In turn, 9 pearls can be used to craft a block of lustra with a crafting table. The blocks can be found at the center of every giant clam structure in the Brine.

FAEWILD CHANGES

-Flying boat ability book has been removed and replaced with the Void pull ability book. Players can now craft a flying boat with pale oak planks and a single ghast tear.

To craft, place the planks as you would when crafting any boat. Place the tear in the center.

-Modified loot tables of ferryman houses to include both ghast tears and pale oak planks.

-Changed all ferryman traders so they no longer offer any flying boat book trades.

-Changed all pack rat traders to no longer sell the non-functional bucket of salmon trade. (The fish was supposed to drop a worldsoar book when slain).

-Void pull is a quality of life ability book, designed by Grandmaster. Have you ever lost all your items and spent wayyyyy too long trying to find them again? Worry no longer. With void pull, simply click to teleport all items within a 100 block radius to your location. (Also works for stealing items someone else dropped!)

UNDERDARK CHANGES

-Partial construction of the Underdark trade metropolis has been completed. The megastructure can be currently found in the diorite sea biome, but there are currently no mobs, loot, or houses yet added.

-Giant Underdark bats no longer follow players in creative mode.

VARSKSPACE CHANGES

-Reworked Varskspace’s only biome into 4 new biomes; the ahimaaz reach, chrysoprase belt, non-maxwellian sector, and vonstein expanse. The vonstein expanse was made in reference to fellow data pack creator Von Leipenstein and his adroit data pack, “The Expanse," for getting my custom sun textures working again! You’re a genius dude!

-Modified Varskspace worldgen so it could accommodate more than one biome. Turns out, the current Varskspace noise file wouldn’t allow me to include more than one biome in the dimension. I had to rebuild the entire noise file from the ground up using the Faewild’s base worldgen as a template.I think I did a good job at recreating the original varskspace feel but it took me forever to figure it out!

ITEM CURRENCY CHANGES

-Silversteel items (ingots included) clear all debuff effects from a mob or player when struck. Removes things like poison, slowness, etc…

-Added diamond shards. Craft 9 together to make a diamond. A diamond can, in turn, be used to craft 9 shards.

-Added silversteel shekels. Craft 9 together to make a silversteel ingot. An ingot can, in turn, be used to craft 9 shekels.

-Added old world bronze assarions. Craft 9 together to make a bronze ingot. An ingot can, in turn, be used to craft 9 assarions.

-Added old world bronze quadrans. Craft 4 together to make a bronze assarion. An assarion can, in turn, be used to craft 4 quadrans.

-Added old world bronze leptons. Craft 2 together to make a bronze quadran. A quadran can, in turn, be used to craft 2 leptons.

MISC CHANGES

-Added grapes to the game. You can find them by breaking azalea leaves.

-Added leaf litter and flower petals to biomes in Panacea and the Faewild.

-Added cleaving enchantment. Does the exact same level of armor piercing breaching does but with axes instead of maces

-Added scorning enchantment. Gives entities the bad omen effect when struck.

-Conure fixed an annoying invalid loot table pointer so it is no longer annoying.

-Conure cleaned up texture pack code and fixed issue with mass heal book error spam.

-OH, and FINALLY got the custom suns textures working again at long last! Thank you Von Leipenstein I wouldn't have been able to figure it out without you!

BRACKEN PACK 1.21.6 UPDATE

Three main objectives left before I retire the pack. The upcoming underdark megastructure, Dormis rework, and incorporation of more custom mobs. In the meantime, enjoy the following changes!

MOB CHANGES

-Glacium mobs have been buffed. Enemies, mounts and wolves have been granted +25 bonus armor.

-Buffed Glacium Frostkin enemies drops. (Great source of iron!)

-Added sanctum wolf to toxic playa biome. Wolf is typically invisible unless angry. Can also be tamed and is much easier to see when wearing a collar.

-Added mayor mob to the faewild. Wields a powerful item called the, “wanderlight wand”. The mayor has a very small player detection radius but also wears armor with the searing surface enchantment.

-Renamed existing Frostkin enemy names to, “Spearkin”, “Bowkin”, and “Riderkin.”

-Frostkin mobs have new, retextured faces.

-Added new Glacium watchman head texture.

-Added new face texture for the frostforged minions spawned by the Bygone viceroy boss.

-Added a new Glacium Frostkin enemy called, “Slayerkin.”

-Added faewild giant.Equipped with a stone bludgeon with high knockback as well as full mim silk armor. Drops mim silk strands when slain.

-Players can now build hostile netherite golems out of two netherite blocks and a pumpkin block. WARNING: It is a terrifyingly dangerous mob.

-Added mimic mob. Players can craft a mimic with wooden planks and a creaking heart. Initially spawns in a dormant state but wakes up and attacks players who get within three blocks.

-Hammerhead land shark mob has been added to the Brine. Only spawns in light level 14 or lower, such as when it rains. Wields a toothed sword weapon. Drops shark teeth items when slain.

-Added macroprocessor mob to Omnidrome. Basic mob that is big, slow, and tanky.

-Added nutrimonitor mob to Omnidrome. Fast mob that summons a firework explosion whenever hit.

DIMENSION CHANGES

-Adjusted clouds levels for all dimensions. Void and varskspace have no clouds.

-Added sandstone and sand particles to Dormis shechemium biome

-Added Dormis nether fog (may remove at a later date)

-Added Dormis aqueduct structure.

-Fae theatre structure has been slightly changed to include a canopy.

-Most structures in the Faewild now load with custom bracken pack Paintings. (Fae Woman by Tytoninae)

ITEM CHANGES

-Buffed lustra armor to have more armor, toughness, and also protect against mob attacks and arrows instead of purely player attacks.

-Buffed silversteel to have the same armor toughness as netherite.

-Silversteel pickaxes can now break bedrock.

-Verdant armor crafting recipes have been changed to require 8 panaspores instead of one.

-All stone weapons can be obtained by putting a stone sword in a stone cutter.

-Added nine new fruit item tree drops. Banana and warped fig texture by Yoann.

  • Lemons drop from birch trees.
  • Oranges drop from acacia trees.
  • Coconuts drop from jungle trees.
  • Bananas drop from mangrove trees.
  • Pale pears drop from pale oak trees.
  • Olives drop from spruce trees.
  • Cherries drop from cherry trees.
  • Nether peppers drop from crimson fungus.
  • Warped figs drop from warped fungus.
  • Drops for Azalea trees are currently pending, depending on fan suggestions.

-Eating lemons grants 1 second of slowness and makes a “pop” sound.

-Eating a nether pepper sets the ground on fire and switches your species to netherkin. -Eating a warped fix switches your species to Frostkin. -Eating an apple switches your species to human.

-Added wanderlight wand. Crafted with a nether star and end rod. Comes with an intrinsic custom enchantment that teleports entities to a random location within a hundred or so blocks when hit. -All wands now have very slowed attack speed.

-Retextured enchantment books duplicated with mim silk to be blue to better indicate they were duplicated items.

ENCHANTMENT CHANGES

-Added banishment enchantment which only exists on wanderlight wands. Teleports hit mobs to a random location and cannot be removed with a grindstone.

-Guarding enchantment now only works on shovels and spears.

-Added obliteration enchantment that summons lighting on enemies when the player hits them during a thunderstorm. Only enchantable on spears and shovels.

-Mortality only works on swords now.

-Butchering now only works on axes.

-Added instability curse. Fireworks summoned at the wearer's location when hit by a mob or player.

BUG FIXES

-Fixed issue with brine mobs enchantment item data not working. -Corrected issue with a single piece of silversteel armor granting 100% lighting/enderpearl/mace smash damage resistance. -Milk now clears away the bonus armor granted by iron apples.

-Adjustments to y-level at which first time dimension text triggers.

-Fixed golden bludgeon recipe.

-Fixed mirrored meteoric sickle recipe.

-Update test error on brine custom potion crafting -Fixed missing texture for scepter weapon.

-Sporangium boss activation regen effect fixed.

-Broken compass item name fixed.

-Corrected instance of keeperscout in the fae theatre having overpowered trades.

-Fixed loot table fixes of Pax crofter.

-Corrected names of flying boats created with the flying boat ability book.

-Fixed issue with magnificent mansion loading without an exit portal included.

-Partial Hunter rework. Hunters no longer morph when eating plants but just morph when eating uncooked meat.

-Rectified the /function bracken:config command. Entries were displayed correctly but the text was unclickable.

-Rectified the /function bracken:admin_commands/teleport_to_dimension command. Entries were displayed correctly but the text was unclickable.

HOTFIX UPDATE

Ugh, I hate making these. Figured I'd make it up to you guys though by adding a few new things along with the bug fixes. Enjoy.

BUG FIXES

-Missing advancement background textures added back in. Some have also been re-styled.

-Issue with Brine whirlpool teleport not working has been fixed. (Just straight-up changed the structure to contain an activated conduit)

-Issue with the portal in the Sanctum embassy not taking players to Omnidrome has been fixed.

-End crystals have been re-enabled as a means of traveling between the Omnidrome and Sanctum, but only if the player has already used the embassy portal or void to get to the Omnidrome first.

-Issue with Pax portal not taking players to Dormis has been fixed.

-Missing scepter texture has been fixed.

-Min silk enchantment book duplication crafting no longer requires a diamond.

-The texture of the travel Call book found in Varskspace spires has been fixed.

-Reworked many advancements to more accurately indicate to the player how to travel to other dimensions.

-Hyperabundant nether quartz ore has been severely nerfed in crimson organism and creeper dominion panacea biomes.

-Turns out the creeper horn item is crazy powerful for tnt farming. As such, it can now only be obtained by killing the Gigaton Creeper in the Panacea creeper pyramid.

-Cleaned up terrain displacement around creeper pyramid.

-Players now get slowfall instead of resistance traveling to Panacea and Glacium.

-Wither roses and wither rose wands now appropriately protect Netherkin and Enderling players from rainfall damage when held.

NEW THINGS I ADDED TO MAKE MYSELF FEEL BETTER

-Most weapons variants, ie. bludgeon ,buckler, cutlass, etc... are now all craftable.

-Buckler, Cutlass, Rapier, and Katana weapons can now block.

-Rapiers rapidly block melee attacks, cutlasses ignore the shield disabling effect of axes, katanas can deflect projectiles, bucklers can deflect everything a shield can.

-Bludgeons now have knockback instead of knockback resistance, cutlasses and bucklers no longer grant armor, greatswords deal more damage, daggers grant swift sneak, katanas no longer reduce jump strength, spears have increased attack range, sickles have increased damage, warhammers disable shields longer than axes.

-Brine block break speed reduction has been increased from 75% to 85%.

-Players exposed to rain in the Brine now get haste effect x3.

-Added new advancement for players who experience the Brine's rain.

-Players can no longer end up in Pax randomly from Void travel.

-Added secret new advancement for players who fall to the bottom of the Void and randomly end up in the Void again.

-Added 3 new Varkspace themed advancements obtained by generating lightning, finding a Varskspace spire and teleporting back to the overworld.

-Added new advancement for players that dig their way to the Nether through the Underdark.

-Added firefly bushes to the Faewild foison fields biome.
