Title

Pet Teleport Fix (PTF)

A mod or datapack that prevents pets from getting stuck in unloaded chunks.

Warning: For those who previously downloaded the 1.3 version, please update to 1.4-HOTFIX immediately, as the previous version has a major performance issue related to the end dimension.

Coming Soon:

  • Portal Teleportation: Your pet will get teleported to you when you enter a portal.
  • Whistle: You can manually teleport your pet to you by using /whistle with the mod version, or /trigger whistle with the datapack version.

The public test version of the next major 2.0 release. This version is still WIP and may have issues and is only published for testing purposes, not for general use.

Changes:

  • Completely rewritten how the pack works. The pack no longer uses the /forceload command, meaning the pack also no longer removes forceloaded chunks added by other datapacks for better compatibility.
  • Allays can now load chunks! They will no longer be stuck in unloaded chunks. :D

Todo for the next alpha-2 update:

  • Enable /trigger whistle to call pets (since this feature is currently disabled on all released version).
  • Add modded pet support via Entity Tags.
  • Add the proper server-sided mod for /whistle to not rely on /trigger, and client-sided mod for a keybind to either teleport your pets to you (/whistle) and to open the teleport UI via keybind.
  • Add a UI to call pets, inspired by Lycanites' Mobs.
    • This UI should have the capability to teleport individual pet types instead of all of your pets at once.
    • This UI should also have the capability to call either your nearest pet or the farthest pet.
