Обновлён 17 июня 2026 г. · опубликован 8 января 2023 г.
BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack is one of the first advancement datapacks ever created and is also one of the largest and most feature-packed. It adds over 1000 new advancements to your world so you have some extra challenges to do in your survival world.
Notable features:
Over 1000 new advancements!
BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack adds over 1000 new advancements to your world, bringing the total up to 1202, which brings numerous new challenges to your survival world or a competitiveness to servers. Some new advancements are inspired by various existing pre-1.12 achievements as well as achievements that are exclusive to the Bedrock or Console editions of Minecraft. Many are purely original ideas of my own or of other people (see extra credits section). You may find a list of advancements here.
16 Advancement Tabs in total!
All five of the tabs in vanilla advancements have had many more advancements added to expand upon what was already there, and many new advancement tabs have been added for more specific categories.
- BlazeandCave's Advancements - Contains a few basic advancements that start you off in a brave new world, as well as all the milestone advancements, which keep track of how many advancements have been obtained in each of the other tabs.
- Mining - The mining-related advancements from the vanilla tab "Minecraft" have been taken and expanded upon greatly into the "Mining" tab with more advancements relating to each of the different ores and what you can do with them.
- Building - A brand new tab that is all about crafting and building using various blocks.
- Farming - The vanilla "Husbandry" tab has been split up into the Farming and Animals tabs. The Farming tab focuses on crops and various plants in Minecraft.
- Animals - The Animals tab is largely about breeding, slaughtering and taming animals in Minecraft, and fishing.
- Monsters - A brand new tab that takes some of the monster-related advancements from the vanilla "Adventure" tab and expands upon them greatly with unique advancements and challenges for nearly every monster in Minecraft.
- Weaponry - A brand new tab that is about weapons, both conventional and unconventional.
- Biomes - A brand new tab that contains advancements relating to various biomes, including the ocean.
- Adventure - The vanilla "Adventure" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to exploration, villages, trading, raids, and various structures like the ocean monument and woodland mansion.
- Redstone - A brand new tab that is all about crafting and using various redstone components.
- Enchanting - A brand new tab that is all about enchanting items.
- Statistics - A brand new tab that keeps track of various statistics.
- Nether - The vanilla "Nether" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to the fiery dimension and the monsters and structures within.
- Potions - The potion-related advancements from the vanilla "Nether" tab have been expanded upon in this tab containing more advancements relating to many of the different potion effects.
- The End - The vanilla "The End" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to the dark, barren dimension and the monsters and structures within.
- Super Challenges - Contains the most difficult advancements in the datapack. It is unlocked upon defeating the Ender Dragon. Many of these test the limits of what can be done in Minecraft.
Advancement scoreboard
There is a built-in scoreboard that will count how many advancements you have obtained so far in your world. Great for seeing your progress or for competing with your friends! There is also the points scoreboard which awards different amounts of points for harder advancement tiers (task, goal, challenge and so on). The amount of points awarded by each advancement tier can be changed in the config menu!
Item Rewards and Trophies given via functions.
Item rewards give you a little bonus for completing many of the advancements, while trophies are special decorative items that are awarded for completing many challenge advancements.
Cooperative Mode
An option that can be toggled on, cooperative mode makes it so that advancements are shared across all players on a world, allowing you to work together to complete advancements. This is best used in worlds with a small number of players that work closely together.
Teams
If you wish to compete in groups, you can join teams and have your scores get added up and contribute to your team.
To join a team, use the following command:
/team join bac_team_ <player's name>
You can press tab after typing in bac_team_ to see the list of teams.
Full translation support.
All advancements are fully translatable using the BACAP Language Pack, including Spanish, Russian, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Pirate Speak LOLCAT and more.
Installation
The downloaded datapack should be a zipped file named "BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack" and then followed by its version number.
Installation instructions are as follows:
For a new world: You can click the "Data Packs" option when creating a new world. Upon doing this, either open the world folder and copy in the zipped file, or click and drag the zipped file directly into the menu. Once it is imported, mouse over the icon for BlazeandCave's advancements pack so an arrow appears, then click the arrow to load the datapack.
For an existing world: Click on the world in the singleplayer menu, then click "Edit", then "Open World Folder". Then go into the "datapacks" folder, and copy and paste the zipped file from the download here.
Once the datapack is installed, go into the world. A message should pop up saying you are using BlazeandCave's advancements pack. If not, check your advancements menu. You should see the custom tab named "BlazeandCave's Advancements." If you forgot to load the datapack when creating from a new world, type the command: /datapack enable "file/bac_advancements"
Configuration
The advancements pack can be easily configured using the config menu, which can be displayed by running the following command: /function blazeandcave:config
Using the config menu you can:
- Toggle on and off item rewards, trophies, and the welcome message by simply clicking their checkboxes.
- Toggle whether advancement completion messages will display for each different advancement tier.
- Display the advancements scoreboard on the tab list and/or sidebar. You can also clear it from there.
- Update the advancements scoreboard for all players online.
- Enable Cooperative Mode.
Warning: The config menu will not open if you do not have operator permissions. This includes if you are playing on Hardcore mode. To gain operator permissions in singleplayer, click "Open to LAN" then click "Allow Cheats" so that it is set to ON.
For advanced information on what you can do with the config menu, please read this document.
Updating to newer versions
The Advancements Pack will be updated for later Minecraft versions and snapshots to add more advancements or fix bugs. Here is how to safely update to newer versions:
- Make a backup of your world for safety if you screw anything up
- Leave your world for more safety and don't go in during the process
- Delete the old datapacks COMPLETELY from your world
- Copy and paste in the new updated datapacks
- Go into your world
- If you screwed up, go to your backup, make a backup of your backup, then repeat steps 2-6 on the backup.
Add-ons and alternative versions
- Translates the advancements into other languages.
- Allows you to play the advancements pack in hardcore mode.
- Three compatibility datapacks for the Terralith, Nullscape and Amplified Nether datapacks by Starmute.

Troubleshooting and FAQ's
I am aware of a number of issues involving installing advancements, particularly if you try to install them on servers. I am not an expert on servers, but here are a few questions I've been frequently asked and how they were solved:
Why is "X" advancement not working? Some advancements will break on Spigot and Paper servers. Any server that runs the Advancement Pack must be a vanilla server, or else some advancements may not work. This is due to these servers changing around data that makes the detection for these advancements break.
Some examples of these broken advancements may include, but are not limited to: When Piglins Fly, Custom Boss Fight, Trick or Treat, Slenderman, Mollusc Man, Captain Etho, Rock Paper Scissors, This name sounds cooler, I'll be back, Event Horizon, The Beginning, The Perfect Run.
How to turn on/off item rewards and trophies or display the scoreboard: The config menu lets you do that using the following command: /function blazeandcave:config For more information read its section above.
The config menu won't show up when running the command: The config menu only shows up if you are opped on a server or have cheats enabled in singleplayer.
The scoreboard is not working even when using the config menu: Type in these commands in order: /scoreboard objectives add bac_advancements dummy {"text":"Advancements"} /function bc_rewards:update_score /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar bac_advancements
Rewards or Trophies are not given: Make sure to check they are enabled on the config screen. By default they are turned on.
If you are on a server and are positive they are turned on, this would likely be occurring due to permissions or due to server plugins (e.g. Spigot will almost always screw with this datapack) because, sadly due to the way advancements and functions work, if a non-opped player gets an advancement they may not actually trigger any function rewards.
I lost a trophy! Help! You can use the following command to give yourself the trophy of a specific advancement back: /function bc_rewards:trophy//
Some advancement tabs (such as the Super Challenges tab) don't show up: A tab will not show up if you haven't gained any advancements in that tab yet. For example the Super Challenges tab is not unlocked until after defeating the Ender Dragon.
The custom advancements are plain not showing up at all: If the above don't work, any number of things could be happening to cause this to happen. Try restarting the server or using the /reload command. Remember when placing the advancements into your world's folder, you have to paste the "bac_advancements" folder into the following folder directory: /datapacks. Do NOT copy them into plain /advancements - that's the folder that contains player files (i.e. a list of each player and what advancements they have gotten), not the advancements themselves.
If your question is not answered here or my advice doesn't work for you, you could try messaging your problem on my Discord and you may be able to get help. Or try searching on Google for advice on how to fix these problems.
I cannot guarantee compatibility with any other datapack, or with mods. This datapack modifies the vanilla advancements so if any other datapack(s) you attempt to use alongside this datapack relies on or also modifies the vanilla advancements there may be compatibility issues.

Changed Advancements
- Renamed the “Spear Fishing” advancement in the Adventure tab to “Seafood Skewer”, making room for the new “Spear Fishing” advancement in the Weaponry tab.
- Swapped the names of the advancements “Overpopulation” and “Two by Two” around, so that “Two by Two” can be the name of the same advancement as vanilla. Their trophies have also swapped, but their item and experience rewards have not.
- Added all of the new blocks and items to “All the Blocks!”, “Stack all the Blocks!”, “All the Items!”, “Stack all the Items!”
- Added Sulfur Caves to “Spelunker”, “Adventuring Time”, “Travelling Bard” and “Explorer of Worlds”.
- Added Sulfur and Cinnabar to “Rock Collection”.
- Added Sulfur (or Potent Sulfur), Sulfur Spikes and Cinnabar to “Bottom to Top”.
- Added Polished Sulfur and Polished Cinnabar to “Rock Polish”.
- Added the new stairs, slabs and walls to “Cut In Half”, “Stairs? NOOOO!”, “Slabs For Days”, “Ah, My Old Enemy…”, “Crazy Walls”.

- Added all of the new blocks and items to “All the Blocks!”, “Stack all the Blocks!”, “All the Items!”, “Stack all the Items!”
- Added Sulfur Cubes to “Follow the Leader”, “Telescopic”, “Highway to Hell”, “Endergeddon”, “Potion Master”, “Biological Warfare” and “Death From All”. (Note: The wiki page says they are passive mobs so they won’t be included in Monster Hunter or anything. I also won’t count them as an ‘animal’ so they won’t be required for “The Mighty Hunter”)
- Added the Nausea effect to “Gas Bomb”.
- Fire Charges can now be used to complete “Gas Bomb” as an alternative to Flint and Steel.
- “My work here is done” no longer triggers if the player is riding a boat or minecart, fixing a bug where it’s possible to obtain by simply riding one of these on top of a block of gravel.
- “The Aquatic Hunter” and “Poseidon vs. Hades” can now have their components checked off by attacking with a trident’s melee strike as an alternative to throwing it.
- Fixed “Thanks a lotl” not keeping track of whether the player is also in a Monument (previously only the Axolotl was needed to be in a Monument).
- Fixed “Called Shot” not keeping track of whether the player was actually struck by lightning.
- Fixed “An Apple a Day” being cheeseable by putting apples in Decorated Pots.
- “Just Keeps Going” no longer counts upward if the player is in spectator mode (now matching with “Castaway”).
- The “Gas!”, “This one’s mine!” and “Dimension Penetration” advancements now use the entity_tags entity sub-predicate in their conditions.
- Changed the icon for “The Undead Cavalry” to a Skeleton Horse Spawn Egg.
- Fixed “Diagon Allay” not having a custom potion colour in its advancement icon.
- Updated the description of “Desert Rider” to no longer mention finding a Camel in a desert village since they can now spawn anywhere in deserts.
- Updated the descriptions of “Overkill” and “Over-overkill” to now mention that spear charge attacks are also excluded.
- Updated the descriptions of “Subspace Bubble” and “The Devil’s Distance” to include the words ‘at least’.
- Updated the description of “Death From All” in non-hardcore mode to remove the message that says “ignore in hardcore mode”.
- Fixed the fourth line of “Riddle Me This” not being up-to-date when mousing over its completion message.
- The tenth line of “Riddle Me This” now uses a dummy scoreboard instead of a statistical scoreboard, fixing issues where doing the deed would increase it by 2 instead of 1, and another issue where putting the item in a Decorated Pot would increment the score.
- “Mob Kabob” now no longer uses vanilla translation strings for its title and description.
- Updated the Advancement Legend title text to be translatable.
- All root advancements now have a msg function that contains their message ‘You have now unlocked the root of the tab.’
- Refused to change “Serious Dedication”.
Moved Advancements
- Moved “Eeuuwww!” so that it comes after “This is Mine Now!”
- Moved “Gold Mine!” so that it comes after “Steals on Wheels”.
- Moved “Fake Monument” so that it comes after “Cinnabar Island”.
- Moved “Mob Kabob” so that it comes after “Toasted Marshmallow”.
- Moved “Boaty McBoatface” so that it comes after “Just Keep Swimming”.
- Moved “Dive Bomb” so that it comes after “Cargo Carrier”.
- Moved “Flipper”, “Pushed Around” and “The Great Blocky Reef” so that they come after “The sea calls you…”
- Swapped “Tarzan” and “The Mighty Jungle” around in the advancement menu.
- Moved “Chatterbox”, “Is it a Bird?” and “Birdkeeper” from the Animals tab to the Biomes tab, now coming after “The Mighty Jungle”.
- Moved “Baron of Blacksmiths” so that it comes after “Classic Cartoon Comedy”.
- Moved “Master Sniper” so that it comes after “Master Jouster”.
- Moved “Master Armorer” so that it comes after “Unbreakable”.
- Moved “Master Fisher” so that it comes after “Master Armorer”.
Trophies and Rewards
- Added trophies to the following advancements: “All the Balls!”, “Cinnabar Island”, “The Undead Cavalry”, “The Wicked Witch of the West”, “Toasted Marshmallow”, “Impiled”, “Lord Helix”, “Taking the Scenic Route”, “Jockey Jamboree”.
- Added an item reward of 64 Tuff to “Tuff Stuff”.
- “Horse Training” now awards Copper Horse Armor instead of Iron Horse Armor; “Sheriff Firearm” now awards Iron Horse Armor instead of Golden Horse Armor, and “Scourge of the West” now awards Golden Horse Armor instead of a Saddle.
- Reduced the experience reward of “Shovel Knight” from 100 to 50 so it matches “Axeman”.
- Renamed the trophy “Stink Bomb” to “The Stink Bomb” in order to prevent a name clash in translation.
Configuration
- Added two trigger commands that tell you if you are currently in the running for “Dragon vs. Dragon”, “Dragon vs. Dragon II: Electric Boogaloo”, “Dragon vs Wither: The Pre-Sequel” and “The Perfect Run”. They are triggered with ‘bac_dragon’ and ‘bac_perfect_run’ respectively.
- Unlike other trigger commands, these commands are not triggerable until you have obtained the Super Challenges root.
- Added the trigger command ‘bac_progress’ which includes the non-statistic entries from the bac_statistics trigger.
- “Vault Hunter”, “Copper Golem Overlord”, “Counting Sheep”, “Le creak, c’est chic” and “Overwarden” are included in the bac_progress trigger. “Certified Spud Chomper”, “WHERE’S THE HONEY LEBOWSKI?”, “Pupil Poppers”, “A Piglin’s Best Friend” and the tenth line of “Riddle Me This” were moved to this trigger from bac_statistics.
- All entries in bac_progress use the name of the advancement instead of what is done to progress on that advancement. They also display the target number to reach (e.g. Certified Spud Chomper: 42/100).
- Added an additional line to the bac_timers trigger that says that 1200 seconds = 1 Minecraft day.
- Converted all reward function files to use only one command that all point to a single macro function file in order to condense their size and make it easier to work with going forward.
- Renamed the Advancements Scoreboards to “Advancement Count” (note: The menu itself is still named “Advancements Scoreboard”).
- Added a new Advancement Score which contains a ‘points total’ of every achieved advancement summed together, where Tasks = 1 point, Goals = 2 points, Challenges = 5 points, Super Challenges = 20 points and Milestones = 50 points. There is both an ordinary Advancement Score and Team Advancement Score option that can be selected.
- These values can be adjusted in a new menu “Change Advancement Point Values”. It’s also possible to change Hidden advancements to have point values, by default they are worth 0 points.
- Shifted the update_score commands from bacap_rewards to blazeandcave:config/ so they can be next to the coop_update function. The functions bacap_rewards:update score and blazeandcave:update_score still work as they point to blazeandcave:config/update_score.
- Added the update_points function that updates advancement points. It is run whenever the update_score function is run. (Note: It still has not been updated with the advancements new to this update, as usual that will come with the first beta build).
- Added hidden advancements to the Advancement Completion Message Settings. Previously, all hidden advancements followed whatever challenge advancements was set to.
- Moved several blazeandcave/function files to sub-folders in order to clean up that directory. Some examples are listed below. Other functions with a similar name were moved and renamed in the same way.
- aec_check -> advancement/check/aec
- check_paintings -> advancement/check/paintings
- on_a_rail_start -> advancement/check/on_a_rail_start
- inv_check_artillery -> advancement/check/inventory_artillery
- inventory_changed -> advancement/check/inventory_changed
- count_copper_golem -> advancement/count/copper_golem
- divers_dozen_count -> advancement/count/divers_dozen
- factorio_craft -> advancement/count/factorio_craft
- give_piglin_gold -> advancement/count/give_piglin_gold
- tag_eggs -> advancement/count/eggs_tag
- msg_alpha_build -> msg/alpha_build
- apple_a_day_trigger -> trigger/apple_a_day
- Functions related to these advancements were moved to directory advancement/: “A Wizard’s Breakfast”, “Event Horizon”, “Captain America”, “Dimension Penetration”, “Dragon vs Dragon II: Electric Boogaloo”, “Dragon vs Wither: The Pre-Sequel”, “Castaway”, “Just Keeps Going”, “Half Heart Life”, “Loser!”, “The Perfect Run”, “Free Diver”, “Sleep with the Fishes”, “Unwanted Passenger”.
- The ‘riddle’ and ‘statistics’ folders are also now contained within the ‘advancement’ sub-folder
- Moved several predicate files to new sub-folders in order to clean up that directory, which include:
- ‘sit’ predicates -> A new folder labelled ‘vehicle’. For example, camel_husk_sit -> vehicle/camel_husk
- ‘wear’ predicates (including horse_wear and nautilus_wear) -> A new folder labelled ‘equipment’. For example, wear_dragon_head -> equipment/dragon_head and horse_wear_copper -> equipment/copper_horse_armor
- ‘variant’ predicates -> A new folder labelled ‘entity_variant’, which then has its own sub-folders for each entity type. For example, chicken_variant_cold -> entity_variant/chicken/cold
- Removed the zombified_piglin_passenger predicate, as the new predicate introduced in an earlier alpha build jockeys/strider accomplishes the same thing.
Changes since 1.21 Beta Build 2
- Fixed the third line of “Riddle Me This” not being up-to-date when mousing over its completion message.
- Added minetommy to the list of patrons.
1.21.b2Бета26.2-rc-2 · 13 июня 2026 г.
